Trinidad is the home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Las Animas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 8,329 as of the 2020 census. Trinidad lies 21 mi (34 km) north of Raton, New Mexico, and 195 mi (314 km) south of Denver. It is on the historic Santa Fe Trail.

In early April 2010, the Coastal Kingfish replaced the West Texas Road Hogs as the CBL travel team. The Kingfish joined the Pecos League in 2011 as the White Sands Pupfish, and relocated to Alamogordo, New Mexico.

They played at Warren Ballpark and began operations with the 2014 season. After the season, the Blue chose to leave the Pecos League in order to play in the Kino League as an amateur team. The Pecos League put a Team in Tucson instead, who play at Warren Ballpark on Sundays.
The Douglas Diablos were a professional baseball team based in Douglas, Arizona. The team was a member of the Pecos League, an independent baseball league which is not affiliated with Major or Minor League Baseball. They played at Copper King Stadium during the 2014 season and had a 28–36 record. Following the 2014 season in which the team finished in last place, they were immediately dropped by the Pecos League.

On June 25, 2014-Rod was activated by the Cowboys and pitched one out in a lefty-lefty situation against the Santa Fe Fuego in the bottom of the eighth inning in the Cowboy's 6–3 loss to the Fuego. He pitched against the Pecos League's second best hitter, All Star Nick Billinger, who was batting .461. Tafoya retired Billinger with an outside slider that was hit to the first baseman for an out. Fort Marcy Ballfield or Fort Marcy Ballpark is an approximately 1,100-seat baseball stadium in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. The ballpark is part of the City of Santa Fe's Fort Marcy Recreation Complex, located on the former United States military reservation Fort Marcy. It was constructed in 1936 as a Works Progress Administration project. The ballpark is at an elevation of approximately 7,000 feet above sea level.
