The constituency returns one district councillor to the Wong Tai Sin District Council,with an election every four years. The seat was held by Mok Yee-ha.
Tsz Wan East constituency is loosely based on the Tsz Hong Estate,Tsz Man Estate and part of the Tsz On Court in Tsz Wan Shan with an estimated population of 20,124. [3]

Wong Tai Sin District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is the only landlocked district in Hong Kong. It is located in Kowloon, and is the northernmost district in Kowloon. It borders the districts of Kwun Tong to its southeast, Kowloon City to its southwest, Sai Kung to its east, and Sha Tin to its north.
Kowloon East is the eastern part of Kowloon, covering the Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong District, with Kowloon City District occasionally included.
Tsz Wan Shan is a residential area in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Located below Temple Hill, it is administratively part of Wong Tai Sin District. Temple Hill is also called Tsz Wan Shan 慈雲山, but Tsz Wan Shan usually refers to the area.
Tung Tsz, sometimes transliterated as Tung Tsai, is an area near Shuen Wan in the Tai Po District of the New Territories, Hong Kong, under the hills of Pat Sin Leng. The area is mainly rural and has a few villages. The campus of The Education University of Hong Kong and the campsite of Tung Tsz Scout Centre for The Scout Association of Hong Kong are also located in the area.

Mei Tung Estate is a public housing estate located at the south of Wong Tai Sin, Kowloon, Hong Kong opposite Kowloon Walled City Park. It consists of 2 Old Slab-typed blocks, each building is 8-storey, providing over 600 flats. Although the estate is near Kowloon City, it belongs to Wong Tai Sin District rather than Kowloon City District because it is located at the north of Tung Tau Tsuen Road, the boundary between two districts. A third block opened in 2010, and a fourth opened in 2014.
Fung Tak Estate is a mixed TPS and public housing estate in Diamond Hill, Kowloon, Hong Kong, near Lung Poon Court, Plaza Hollywood, Galaxia and MTR Diamond Hill station. It has seven residential blocks built in 1991 and is named from nearby Fung Tak Road. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 1 in 1998.
Tsz Ching Estate is a public housing estate located in Tsz Wan Shan, Kowloon, Hong Kong next to Tsz Oi Court. It consists of eleven residential blocks completed between 1993 and 2001. The site was formerly Blocks 48 to 53 in Tsz Wan Shan Estate, which was also called "Tsz Ching Estate". After redevelopment, the eastern part of Old Tsz Oi Estate was assigned to Tsz Ching Estate.
