Tulehu is a village in Salahutu, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku, Indonesia. [1] Covering 1,491 mi (or 2,399 km) land area, with an UTC offset of 9 hours.

Contents

Residence of Teluhu and surrounding areas speak the Tulehu language, which differs slightly in dialect from one village to the next.

Sport

Despite its small size Tulehu is known to be the birthplace of several famous Indonesian footballers. Footballers who come from Telehu include Hendra Bayauw, Hasyim Kipuw, Ramdani Lestaluhu, Alfin Tuasalamony, and Imran Nahumarury. The government plans to spend 2 billion Rps in the coming years to further develop Tulehu's talent. [2] [3] So strong is the passion for football in Tulehu that all economically stable residents must donate a ball every year to the local organization so that all the children will have a chance to practice. [4]

In film

The 2014 Indonesian film Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku was based on a book called Jalan Lain ke Tulehu (other way to Tulehu). Both the book and film deal with the Maluku sectarian conflict and aftermath, with the book being written by a journalist who was trapped in Tulehu while it was happening. The film is about the events and details how football suffered during the conflict but also helped rebuild afterwards. Most of the scenes and actors from Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku are from Tulehu. [5]

All of the residents of Tuhlehu are Muslim with Islam playing a prominent role in public and private life. The Mesijd Jelu Tulehu is the biggest mosque and building in the village.

Glenn Fredly Deviano Latuihamallo was an Indonesian R&B singer and songwriter as well as producer and actor. Entering the music industry after winning a singing contest in 1995, he released more than 10 albums. He produced new talented artists like female vocalist Yura and male soloist Gilbert Pohan. He also produced Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku. In 2013, he served as a coach for The Voice Indonesia.

Djadjang Nurdjaman Indonesian association football player and coach

Djadjang Nurdjaman, also known as Djanur, is an Indonesian professional football coach and former player who is currently head coach of Liga 1 club PS Barito Putera. In his playing days, Djanur spent most of his years playing for Persib Bandung. One of the club's stars in the 1980s and 90s, Djadjang helped the club win three Perserikatan titles. He would also win two more top-flight titles with the club, the 1994–95 Liga Indonesia Premier Division as assistant coach and the 2014 Indonesia Super League as head coach.

Baru Timur River

Baru Timur River is a man-made canal flowing from Ci Liwung in Bogor Regency to Jakarta, Indonesia. It was one of two canals built in the 18th century under the order of the Governor-General Gustaaf Willem van Imhoff originally to transport agriculture harvest from Bogor to Batavia. Currently both canals, now known as Kali Baru Timur and Kali Baru Barat, are among the main rivers in Jakarta, and part of the Ciliwung Cisadane flood control project. 2019 Ambon earthquake

On 26 September 2019, a strong magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Seram Island in Maluku, Indonesia, near the provincial capital of Ambon. The earthquake struck at 07:46:44 Eastern Indonesia Time with a shallow depth of 18 km. The tremor could be felt throughout the island, with an intensity of very strong (VII) reportedly felt in the provincial capital of Ambon.
