USA Hockey is the national ice hockey organization in the United States. It is recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee as the governing body for organized ice hockey in the United States and is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Before June 1991, the organization was known as the Amateur Hockey Association of the United States (AHAUS).
USA Cycling or USAC, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the national governing body for bicycle racing in the United States. It covers the disciplines of road, track, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, and BMX across all ages and ability levels. In 2015, USAC had a membership of 61,631 individual members.
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Centers (OPTCs) are two campuses created by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) as training facilities for its Olympic and Paralympic athletes. They are located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Lake Placid, New York. Formerly, the USOPC also had a third OPTC in Chula Vista, California, which is now the city-owned Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. There is a U.S. Olympic Education Center in Marquette, Michigan, and other official U.S. Olympic/Paralympic training sites are located in Oklahoma City and Edmond, Oklahoma; Carson, California; Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama; Charlotte, North Carolina; the Pettit National Ice Center in West Allis, Wisconsin; a USRowing training center in Oakland, California ; Huntsville, Texas and the SPIRE Institute and Academy near Geneva, Ohio.
James A. Pedro is an American retired World Championship and Olympic judoka and current judo coach. Pedro currently holds a 7th degree black belt in judo. He is the coach of Kayla Harrison, the first and currently only American to win an Olympic gold medal in judo.
The United States Judo Federation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting judo in the United States. Its national office is in Ontario, Oregon.
Edward J. "Ed" Liddie is an American former judoka. He represented his native country at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California and was a bronze medalist in the men's extra-lightweight division (–60 kg). He also won judo medals at the Pan American Games in 1979 and 1991. He graduated from Cumberland College in 1983. He teaches at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was named as a finalist for the USOC Paralympic Coach of the Year in 2013. He served as a coach for some Olympic judoka such as Taraje Williams-Murray.
Kevin Yoshimi Asano is a retired judoka from the United States, who won the silver medal in the men's extra-lightweight competition at the 1988 Summer Olympics. On his way to capturing the medal he beat Shinji Hosokawa, who was the reigning world champion and 1984 Gold Medalist. Asano came close to winning the gold medal, but lost it on a one-point penalty to Kim Jae-Yup of South Korea.

USA Field Hockey is a member organization of the United States Olympic Committee and the International Hockey Federation. The USA Field Hockey Association is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was founded in 1922.
Patrick Mitsugi Burris is a retired competitive judoka who represented the United States at the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich and the 1976 Summer Olympic Games in Montreal. He won the bronze medal at the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico City in the men's lightweight division at 70 kg. Burris is a five time US national senior AAU champion, including an unprecedented four straight championships. He was named 1976 US national Grand Champion – the lightest Grand Champion ever.
Kayla Harrison is an American professional mixed martial artist and multiple Olympic gold medalist and world champion judoka. She currently competes in the Women’s Bantamweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As of April 16, 2024, she is #4 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings and #13 in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings.
Mayra Aguiar da Silva is a Brazilian judoka. She was a bronze medallist in three consecutive Olympics, 2012, 2016 and 2020. She is also three-time world champion. She is the first Brazilian woman to win three Olympic medals in an individual sport.
Gemma Jeanette Gibbons is a British judoka. Competing in the women's –70 kg category, she has represented England and Great Britain at Junior, U-23, 'B' and Senior level.
Vera Sergeyevna Moskalyuk is a Ukrainian-born Russian judoka. She competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics. In 2004 in Athens in the -78 kg event she was eliminated in her first match by Liu Xia. In Beijing in 2008 she competed again at -78 kg and lost her first match to Esther San Miguel. Finally in London in 2012, still in the -78 kg event she was defeated by Kayla Harrison.
Kenneth Hashimoto is an American judoka. He is a member of Team USA for the sport of Judo at the 66 kg division.
There are three main organizations that govern judo in the United States. The United States Judo Federation (USJF) started in 1952. The concentration of the USJF is on the east and west coasts, but also in Chicago and Hawaii. The United States Judo Association (USJA) was founded in 1968 as an extension of the Armed Forces Judo Association (AFJA) when it broke off from the USJF to focus on a more Americanized structure. The USJA is mostly concentrated in California and Florida, but also popular in the Midwest and Southeast. The United States Judo, Inc. (USJI), doing business as USA Judo, was founded in 1978 and has its headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It may be slightly larger than the USJA and USJF, as they have crossover members from both of these organizations, since they are the designated national governing body of the USOC for the Olympics.
Zhang Zhehui is a Chinese judoka. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's 78 kg event, in which she was eliminated in the second round by Kayla Harrison.
USAF Team Handball is a handball club from Air Force Academy, Colorado, United States. They are the handball team of the United States Air Force Academy. They are one of the most successful men's college teams. Besides the Adelphi University and UCLA they are the only college team which has won an adult national title in 1978.
The PFL 8 mixed martial arts event for the 2021 season of the Professional Fighters League was held on August 19, 2021. This was the second event for of the playoffs with the Heavyweight and Women's Lightweight divisions competing. This event aired on ESPN, with the prelims on ESPN+.
The PFL 10 mixed martial arts event for the 2022 season of the Professional Fighters League was held on November 25, 2022, at the Hulu Theater in New York City, United States. This was the finale of the playoffs for all 2022 divisions, with the winners getting a $1 million cash prize. The event also marked the organization's first pay-per-view card, being available on ESPN+ PPV.
