Algerian Judo Federation (FAJ) is the governing body of Judo in Algeria, and a member of the world governing body, the International Judo Federation (IJF), [1] and the African Judo Union. [2] JSA is also a member of the Algerian Olympic and Sport Committee (COA).
The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the international governing body for judo, founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe and Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF.
The European Judo Federation consists of 51 national Judo federations/associations, and is itself recognised by the International Judo Federation as one of five continental unions. The organisation of the administration of Judo is based on a pyramid system of regulations, with the IJF the world governing body, the EJU the European governing body, and national Judo associations the governing bodies at domestic level.
The Norwegian Judo Federation is the national federation of judo in Norway. The chairman is Vibeke Thiblin and the deputy chairman is Harald Monsen. The Norwegian Judo Federation was founded in 1967. The organisation's headquarters are in Oslo. It is an affiliate of the International Judo Federation.
Judo at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo featured around 393, 128 judoka competing in 15 events, seven each for both men and women as well as a new mixed team event. The 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the judo competitions were held in July 2021 at Nippon Budokan.
The Oceania Judo Union (OJU) is the Oceania governing body in Judo. It is a member of the world governing body International Judo Federation. The OJU was founded in 1965 with three member countries, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and now has 20 member countries. The first OJU Championships were held in Auckland, New Zealand in 1965. Subsequent OJU Championship were held in 1966 Sydney, Australia; 1969 Taita, New Zealand, 1970 Noumea, New Caledonia, 1975 Christchurch, New Zealand then every second year until 2012, and every year since then until 2018.
Judo South Africa (JSA) is the governing body of Judo in South Africa, and a member of the world governing body, the International Judo Federation (IJF), along with the African Judo Union. JSA is also a member of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC), which, alongside Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA) control all organised sport in South Africa.
The Men's 73 kg competition in judo at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held on 26 July 2021 at the Nippon Budokan.

JUA was formed in 1956 in Tokyo (Japan), with Chinese Taipei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Thailand being the founder members. JUA has headquarters in Kuwait and consists of 39 member federations.

Gulkader Senturk is a Turkish judoka. She competed in the women's 48 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
Ana Perez Box is a Spanish judoka. She won the silver medal in the women's 52 kg event at the 2021 World Judo Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
Elisavet Teltsidou is a Greek judoka. In 2021, she competed in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 21 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. The World Junior Championships are the only junior event awarding ranking points for the seniors world ranking list. The last edition of the championships took place in Odivelas, Portugal in 2023.
The 2021 World Judo Juniors Championships was held between 6 and 10 October 2021 in Olbia, Italy. On its last day, the contest featured the 2021 World Juniors Mixed Team Championships.
