Hockey Algeria is the public name of the authority which governs both ice hockey, inline hockey and ball hockey in Algeria.

Hockey Algeria was founded in 2008 by Karim Kerbouche, Harond Litim and Nassim Boulakdem and was later accepted into the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) on 26 September 2019. [1] The goal was to unite hockey players of Algerian origin from around the world, and create an Algerian national team. Hockey Algeria is an associate member of the IIHF and therefore has no right to vote in the General Assembly. The current president of Hockey Algeria is Karim Kerbouche.

Ice hockey in Algeria

There is currently little ice hockey activity in Algeria. There is currently one club in Algeria, HC Alger Corsaires. [2] There is one real ice rink in Algeria and several synthetic ice rinks, with various levels of activity within them.

The Thailand national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Thailand. The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Thailand is currently ranked at fifty-first in the IIHF World Rankings and have been entered in the World Championship tournaments since 2019 but have not yet participated at any Olympic Games. They have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.

The Singapore national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Singapore. The team is controlled by the Singapore Ice Hockey Association and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 2 May 1996. As of 28 May 2023, Singapore is currently ranked 51st in the IIHF World Ranking.

There are a number of indoor ice rinks in African countries that are used for ice hockey. Enthusiasts have formed national teams in several countries and an inaugural African Nations Cup of Ice Hockey was planned for 2009. The first African Nations Cup of Ice Hockey was planned for South Africa between 19–26 September 2009. The matches of the championship were to be played at the ice rink of "Festival Shopping Centre" in Kempton Park. The competing countries were to be South Africa, Morocco and Algeria. However, the tournament was postponed due to lack of response from the invited countries and never played.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Greek Ice Hockey Championship</span>

The Greek Ice hockey Championship is the only level of ice hockey in Greece. It is operated under the jurisdiction of the Hellenic Ice Sports Federation since 2015 an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. From 1986 to 2014 it was under jurisdiction of the Hellenic Ice Skating Federation. There are currently 200 players registered.

Uzbekistan is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and has not entered in any IIHF World Championship events, nor at the Olympic Games, but played in three Winter Spartakiads from 1978 to 1986.

The Brazilian national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Brazil. The team is controlled by the Brazilian Ice Sports Federation and as an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Brazil is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and has still not actively competing in any World Championship, but have played in the Pan American Tournament, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in the Americas.

The Chile national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Chile and is controlled by the Chilean Ice and Inline Hockey Federation. Chile is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and has not entered in any IIHF World Championship events.

Ice hockey in the Philippines is a minor but emerging sport.

Konstantin Mihailov is a Bulgarian former professional ice hockey and roller in-line hockey goaltender. He played in 28 Ice Hockey World Championships with the Bulgaria men's national ice hockey team, and three IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships with the Bulgaria men's national inline hockey team, then retired from international play at age 51. His lengthy international career was recognized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) with receipt of the Torriani Award, which inducted him into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2019.
