The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California, was founded in 1920 as USC's School of Social Work. [1] [2] The school's only location is in Los Angeles, California. [3]

According to school officials, the facility has 114 faculty teaching an estimated 3,500 enrolled students [3] It also has the oldest MSW and PhD of Social Work programs in the West. [4]

The school was renamed the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work in 2016, after USC alumnus Suzanne Dworak-Peck donated $60 million to the school. It is the largest donation ever to a school of social work. [5] [6]

The program was ranked #25 by the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Ranking, [7] and offers a Doctor of Social Work degree, as well as a Master of Social Work degree. [8] [9] [10]

California Social Work Hall of Distinction

The California Social Work Hall of Distinction was established in 2002 to honor those involved in bringing about the betterment of society and to ensure that the contributions of social work leaders, innovators and pioneers would be recognized and preserved for the future. [12] It is located in the Montgomery Ross Fisher building on USC campus.[ citation needed ]

Michàlle E. Mor Barak is an American social scientist in the areas of social work and business management, a researcher, academic and author. She is Dean's Endowed Professor of Social Work and Business at the University of Southern California. She is known for being the first to offer a theory-based measure for the construct of inclusion. She was among the first to identify and offer differential definitions for diversity and for inclusion. She coined the term Globally Inclusive Workplace, which she developed into a theory-based model with practical applications.

Arlien Johnson (1894—1988) was an American social work researcher. She was the founding Director of the School of Social Work at the University of Washington from 1934 to 1939. From 1939 until 1959, she was Dean of USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work.

Annalisa Enrile is a Filipina-American clinical associate professor at USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. Her work focuses on combatting sex trafficking, interpersonal violence, and exploitative migrant labor. She is the President of the non-profit Mariposa Center for Change. The Filipina Women’s Network named Enrile as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World (Global100) for her advocacy for the Filipino-American community. Her work has also been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Pediatrics, Amerasia Journal the Global Studies Journal, and the Journal of Ethnic & Cultural Diversity in Social Work.
