The North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) is the international governing body for the sports of volleyball in Northern America, Central America, and the Caribbean. NORCECA is the continental confederation that represents its 35 member associations at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) level. It also has six associate members: Bonaire, Saba, Saint Martin, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Women in Uganda have substantial economic and social responsibilities throughout Uganda's many traditional societies. Ugandan women come from a range of economic and educational backgrounds. Despite economic and social progress throughout the country, domestic violence and sexual assault remain prevalent issues in Uganda. Illiteracy is directly correlated to increased level of domestic violence. This is mainly because household members can not make proper decisions that directly affect their future plans. Government reports suggest rising levels of domestic violence toward women that are directly attributable to poverty.

Hadija Namanda sometimes spelt as Hadijah Namanda born 18 November 1975, is a Ugandan sports administrator and Election officer. She was the first female president in the history of the Uganda Volleyball Federation(2017-2021). She is the proprietor of Tena Tennis Academy and serves as the treasurer of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) in East Africa. Hadijah also works in the Voter Data Management department at the Uganda Electoral Commission.
