Unity (Georgian :Ertoba) is a left-wing political party in Georgia. At the 2004 Georgian parliamentary election, the party was part of the Jumber Patiashvili - Unity alliance.
The Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, also known as Soviet Georgia, the Georgian SSR, or simply Georgia, was one of the republics of the Soviet Union from its second occupation in 1921 to its independence in 1991. Coterminous with the present-day republic of Georgia, it was based on the traditional territory of Georgia, which had existed as a series of independent states in the Caucasus prior to the first occupation of annexation in the course of the 19th century. The Georgian SSR was formed in 1921 and subsequently incorporated in the Soviet Union in 1922. Until 1936 it was a part of the Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic, which existed as a union republic within the USSR. From November 18, 1989, the Georgian SSR declared its sovereignty over Soviet laws. The republic was renamed the Republic of Georgia on November 14, 1990, and subsequently became independent before the dissolution of the Soviet Union on April 9, 1991, whereupon each former SSR became a sovereign state.
Sergei Uasyl-ipa Bagapsh was an Abkhaz politician who served as the second President of Abkhazia from 12 February 2005 until his death on 29 May 2011. He previously served as Prime Minister of Abkhazia from 1997 to 1999. He was re-elected in the 2009 presidential election. Bagapsh's term as prime minister included the 1998 war with Georgia, while he oversaw both the recognition of Abkhazia by Russia and the Russo-Georgian War during his presidency.
The National Democratic Party is a political party in Georgia. It was established in 1988 by Giorgi Chanturia as a radical splinter group of the Ilia Chavchavadze Society. Although another party with the same name also existed earlier among the Georgian intelligentsia and in the Democratic Republic of Georgia from 1917 to 1924, this group was independent of that.

The Republican Party of Georgia, commonly known as the Republicans, is a political party in Georgia active since 1978. Until March 2016, the party was a part of the Georgian Dream coalition that won the 2012 election, defeating the United National Movement. Currently it is in opposition to Georgian Dream as part of the UNM-led Strength Is in Unity coalition.

Parliamentary elections were held in South Ossetia on 31 May 2009. The result was a victory for the ruling Unity Party, which won seventeen of the 34 seats. Two opposition parties were not permitted to run out of concern that they might not be loyal to President Eduard Kokoity.
The Unity Party was a major political party with a socially conservative ideology in South Ossetia during the 2000s. South Ossetia is a partially recognized Caucasian republic, considered by most countries to be a part of Georgia. Strategy Aghmashenebeli, sometimes translated as Strategy Builder, is a political party in Georgia founded by Giorgi Vashadze, who along with supporters left the UNM after a party conflict. The party took part in the 2016 Georgian parliamentary election in the bloc State for a People, led by Paata Burchuladze, but only obtaining 3.45% of votes, it could not overcome the barrier to enter the Parliament.
The United National Movement – United Opposition "Strength is in Unity" Faction is one of two factions in the Parliament of Georgia, working as a coalition of MPs from several political parties, led by the United National Movement and including Progress and Freedom and Victorious Georgia. It is the parliamentary wing of a previous political block first created during the 2018 presidential election to back the candidacy of Grigol Vashadze and then reformed in 2020 to run a joint slate of candidates for that year's parliamentary election. In Parliament, it is the largest grouping of the Parliamentary Opposition, including 20 MPs, and is currently chaired by UNM's Tinatin Bokuchava.
Law and Justice is a Georgian political party, which was established on 10 March 2019. The party leader is Tako Charkviani. The co-founders of the party are: Human Rights Defender Mikheil Ramishvili and Irakli Ghlonti. It was a member of the coalition "Strength Is in Unity" until 2020, when it joined with New Georgia to form the coalition Strategy Aghmashenebeli. The party is pro-European and plans to take part in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
Progress and Freedom is a political party in Georgia. The party was founded by Kakha Okriashvili and Tsezar Chocheli In 2020. In September 2020, the party joined the coalition Strength Is in Unity.
