The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is the largest of the six faculties that constitute the University of Sydney. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences comprises six Schools and approximately 40 departments and programs, and a diverse curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
In 2011, the Faculty was renamed from the Faculty of Arts to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, following the inclusions of the Discipline of Economics (from the Faculty of Economics and Business, which was renamed as the University of Sydney Business School), the Centre for International Security Studies (CISS), and the Graduate School of Government (GSG). The Faculty is divided into six schools which are collectively home to over 40 departments. The schools are:

Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye is a state owned and operated university located in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria. The university was founded on 7 July 1982 as Ogun State University (OSU) and was renamed Olabisi Onabanjo University on 29 May 2001, in honour of Chief (Dr.) Olabisi Onabanjo, whose efforts as the then civilian governor of Ogun State gave birth to the university. Meanwhile, many students still refer to the institution as OSU, an acronym for the former name.

The University of Sydney Business School is the business school and a constituent body of the University of Sydney. It was established in January 2011 and formed from the School of Business within the previous Faculty of Economics and Business. The former combined faculty itself descended from the original Faculty of Economics founded in 1920, which was the first faculty of its kind in Australia.
The National Taichung University of Education is a university in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. Founded in 1899 at the Confucian Temple in Changhwa county, it moved to the current site in 1923.
The Mainz University of Applied Sciences, is a 1971-founded university located in Mainz, Germany. The University of Applied Sciences Mainz consists of three faculties: School of Technology, School of Design and School of Business. The common feature of all fields of study is the practical orientation of the university, the short periods of study and the internationally orientated courses. In 2009 the School of Business, the School of Engineering with the departments Geoinformatics and Surveying and the administration of the university moved to the new location "Campus". All other departments will move as well in the near future to the new location "Campus".
Franklin "Frank" J.B. Stilwell is an Australian political economist and Professor Emeritus. He is known for establishing, with Evan Jones, Gavan Butler, Margaret Power, Debesh Bhattacharya, Geelum Simpson-Lee and Ted Wheelwright, an independent political economy department at the University of Sydney. His research interests include theories of political economy, inequality, urbanization, and regional development, Australian economic policy and the nature of work. His textbooks on the subject are standard teaching material for all university students in Australia studying the field of Political Economy. Stilwell's contribution to heterodox economics makes him a noteworthy figure of the Australian New Left.
