The Utah Blitz is a team of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA) which began play in the 2010 season. [1] Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, [2] the Blitz plays its home games at Taylorsville High School in Taylorsville.

Utah is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States. Utah is a landlocked U.S. state bordered to its east by Colorado, to its northeast by Wyoming, to its north by Idaho, to its south by Arizona, and to its west by Nevada. Taylorsville is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah. It is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The population was 60,448 at the time of the 2020 census. Taylorsville was incorporated from the Taylorsville–Bennion CDP and portions of the Kearns metro township on July 1, 1996. The city is located adjacent to Interstate 215 and Bangerter Highway. It is located in the middle of the Salt Lake Valley.

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is a public community college in Salt Lake County, Utah. It is the state's largest two-year college with the most diverse student body. It serves more than 60,000 students on 10 campuses as well as through online classes. The college has a student to faculty ratio of 20:1. Since SLCC is a community college, it focuses on providing associate degrees that students can transfer to any other four-year university in the state to satisfy their first two years of requirements for a bachelor's degree. Taylorsville High School is a public high school established in 1981, located in Taylorsville, Utah, United States. The principal is Mrs. Emily Liddell. The mascot is the Wilbur the Warrior. The current enrollment is around 2,900 students and represents many different ethnic groups. Taylorsville High is one of eight high schools in Granite School District. Taylorsville High is located in the central part of the Salt Lake Valley and was built in 1981 to serve the growing population of the Taylorsville area. School boundaries are roughly Jordan River to 3100 West and 4100 South to 6600 South.

The Granite School District spreads across central Salt Lake County, Utah, serving West Valley City, Millcreek, Taylorsville, South Salt Lake, and Holladay; Kearns and Magna Townships; and parts of West Jordan, Murray and Cottonwood Heights. About 67,000 students are enrolled in its programs ranging from kindergarten to twelfth grade. It operates 9 high schools, 15 junior high schools, 62 elementary schools, as well as several specialty schools. This makes Granite the third largest school district in the state of Utah behind Alpine School District in Utah County and Davis County School District. Other school districts in the area include the Salt Lake City School District and the Murray School District.

Vivint Arena, formerly known as Delta Center, EnergySolutions Arena and Vivint Smart Home Arena, is an indoor arena located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The arena serves as the home venue for the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Utah Jazz, and has been the home venue for other professional athletic teams, such as the Arena Football League's Utah Blaze and the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)'s Utah Starzz. It seats 18,306 for basketball, 14,000 for ice hockey and indoor football, and 20,000 for concerts. It also has 56 luxury suites and 668 club seats.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">MAX (Utah Transit Authority)</span>

MAX is a bus rapid transit (BRT) service operated by Utah Transit Authority (UTA) along the Wasatch Front in Utah, United States. It is described by UTA as "light rail on rubber tires". As of August 2022 there is line in service in Utah County, one discontinued line in Salt Lake County, two new routes planned for Salt Lake County, and one under construction in Weber County.

The February 9 Killer is an unidentified suspected murderer believed to be responsible for the 2006 murder of Sonia Mejia and her unborn baby and the 2008 murder of Damiana Castillo in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. The murders were committed on the same day, February 9, hence the name.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Utah Jynx</span>

The Utah Jynx is a team of the Women's Football Alliance that began play in 2011 and joined the WFA in 2012. Following their successful 2011 season as an independent team, they were placed at #7 in the WFA preseason rankings by EZ Football Rankings. Based in West Valley City, Utah, the Jynx play their home games on the campus of Taylorsville High School.

Plans to construct a temple in Orem were announced on October 5, 2019 by church president Russell M. Nelson, during the Saturday Women's Session of General Conference. The Orem Utah Temple will be the first in the city of Orem, the sixth in Utah County and the 22nd in the state of Utah.

Plans to construct a temple in the city were announced on October 5, 2019 by church president Russell M. Nelson, during the Saturday Women's Session of General Conference. The temple will be the first in the city of Taylorsville, the fifth in Salt Lake County and the 23rd in the state of Utah.
