The Vélodrome de Vincennes is a cycling stadium in the Bois de Vincennes, Paris, France.
India competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States. India didn't win a medal but the Games are remembered for bringing Indian women athletes centre stage. P. T. Usha lost the bronze medal in 400 metre hurdles by one-hundredth of a second. Earlier in the Games, Shiny Abraham reached the semifinals of 800 metres with a personal best of 2:04.69 seconds and became the first Indian woman to reach the semi-finals of an Olympic event. She finished last in the semifinal.
Cape Verde has sent athletes to every Summer Olympic Games held since 1996, although the country has only won one bronze Olympic medal in 2024. No athletes from Cape Verde have competed in any Winter Olympic Games.

Mijaín López Núñez is a Cuban retired Greco-Roman wrestler. Widely considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, López is a five-time Olympic gold medalist, five-time World Champion, and five-time Pan American Games champion. He is the younger brother of Michel López Núñez, a Cuban amateur boxer. On 3 July 2024, he and the Cuban judoka Idalys Ortíz were designated as the flag bearers for Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is a velodrome in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France. It was built between 2011 and 2014 and hosted the 2015, 2022 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and the 2016 UEC European Track Championships. It hosted the cycling venue in the 2024 Summer Olympics. The track is 250 m long and 8 m wide, a metre wider than most other tracks.
