The Chennai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is the 4th longest metro system in India. The system commenced service in 2015 after partially opening the first phase of the project. The current network consists of two colour-coded lines covering a length of 54 kilometres (34 mi). The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a joint venture between Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu built and operates the Chennai Metro. The system has a mix of underground and elevated stations and uses standard gauge. The services operate daily between 05:00 and 23:00 with a varying frequency of 2 to 8 minutes.
The Bhoj Metro is an under construction rapid transit system intended to serve the city of Bhopal, India, the capital of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The total system consists of 6 corridors covering a distance of 104.87 kilometres (65.16 mi). The first phase of the Bhopal Metro project consists of 28 km of line 2 & 5 being under construction. This project will cost ₹80 billion (US$1.0 billion) approximately. There will be three types of run – on road, on bridges, and underground in some locations.
Patna Metro (Patna MRTS) is an under construction rapid transit system, in the city of Patna, India. Construction will be completed over five phases, and will be owned and operated by the state-run Patna Metro Rail Corporation. In the first phase, five stations of Patna Metro will be operational by March 2025. Patna MRTS, constructed under a Public Private Partnership mode, is estimated to cost ₹133,657.7 million (US$1.7 billion). This cost excludes land acquisition cost, which will be paid for by the Bihar government. The first phase (consisting of the east–west and north–south corridors) will include both a 23.30 km (14.48 mi) elevated track and a 16.30 km (10.13 mi) underground track.
Nagpur Metro is a rapid transit system for the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Phase I of the metro project cost was estimated to cost ₹8,650 crore but the final project cost incurred was ₹9,279 crore (US$1.2 billion). In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro Project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the Project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of project, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone on 21 August on his visit to the city. Construction on the project began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017.

Orange Line 5, or the Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Line, is a rapid transit line in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Maharashtra, India, and part of the Mumbai Metro system. When fully completed, the 24.9 km (15.5 mi) line will connect Thane with Kalyan via Bhiwandi, with 17 stations. The line will be fully elevated except for a 3 km underground section in Bhiwandi.

A 'Tree Walk' in awareness of the trees and greens, was organised here in the premises of CSI, by members of 'Madurai Green' associated with 'HCL foundation'.

Nelpettai has a non-vegetarian market that sells fish, meat such as mutton, chicken, etc. On East Veli street, a famous non-vegetarian restaurant namely Amsavalli bhavan biryani restaurant that functions beyond decades, is located. A bridge 3.2 km long and 12 m wide, is planned to be constructed to reduce traffic congestion, in between Madurai Corporation Ecopark just opposite of Madurai Corporation building and Nelpettai Anna statue junction, at a project cost of about ₹175.80 crore.
Anuppanadi is a neighbourhood in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India, located with the geographical coordinates of 9°54′17.3″N78°08′24.4″E and at an altitude of about 152 m above the mean sea level. Madurai, Vandiyur, Anna Nagar, K. K. Nagar, East Gate, South Gate, Goripalayam, Sellur, Simmakkal, Yanaikkal and Nelpettai are some of the important neighbourhoods of Anuppanadi. In the year 1887, excavations carried out at Anuppanadi indicate that Jar burials and earthenware containers were found.

It is located at an altitude of about 162 m above the mean sea level with the geographical coordinates of 9°55′49.1″N78°05′43.8″E. Madurai, Arasaradi, S. S. Colony, Arappalayam, Vasantha Nagar, Koodal Nagar, Vilangudi, Thathaneri, Simmakkal, South Gate and Yanaikkal are some of the important neighbourhoods of Kalavasal. In order to decongest the traffic near Kalavasal junction, a flyover of 0.75 km long, at a project cost of about ₹54.07 crore is constructed in Kalavasal. It is the first of its kind. It is a four-lane flyover. The purpose of building a flyover here is not met with its usage as fewer commuters use this.
Villapuram is a neighbourhood in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India. It is located at an altitude of about 155 m above the mean sea level with the geographical coordinates of 9°53′42.7″N78°07′14.9″E. It was earlier known as Vilvapuram due to the presence of large quantities of Bael trees some times ago and then later renamed as Villapuram. In Madurai, the mandapas built for the deities to come and stay during festivals are called mandagapadis. In this way, the Bhavakai Mandapam, which is about 400 years old, is located in Villapuram. During the ten days of Chitrait festival in Madurai, Meenakshi mman and Sundareswarar, who come to this mandapam on the fourth day, bless the devotees from here until the evening. The area where the mandapam is located is rich in produce of cantaloupe and the people here offer them to the Lord.
