Australian singer and songwriter, Celia Pavey (known professionally as Vera Blue) has released three studio albums, one live album, two extended play, and twenty singles (including three as featured artist). In 2013, Pavey auditioned for and placed third on second season of The Voice (Australia) .

Celia Pavey, known professionally as Vera Blue, is an Australian singer-songwriter signed with Island Records Australia, which is part of Universal Music Australia. Her folk-inspired album This Music peaked at number 14 on the Australian ARIA Charts in July 2013. Pavey sings, and plays the guitar and the violin. She placed third in season 2 of The Voice Australia. Her debut album Perennial achieved Gold certification in Australia after its release in 2017.

The track was first premiered on radio Triple J on 26 September 2019 after being performed live for the first time during Flume's Osheaga Festival set in August. "Rushing Back" reached a new peak of number 8 on the ARIA Singles Chart in the week after Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2019 aired, where it was voted in second place. The song features on FIFA 20.
