Vietnam Open is a tennis tournament held annually in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, since 2015. The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played on outdoor hard courts. [1] For sponsorship reasons, the tournament was called Vietnam Open presented by Bia Saigon Special in 2015 and Vietnam Open presented by Vietravel in 2016. In 2017 the tournament was sponsored by local real estate developer Hung Thinh Corporation. In January 2019, the Vietnam Open will be hosted for the first time in Da Nang City.[ citation needed ]

The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. It was founded in 1976 when it replaced the ILTF Satellite Circuit as the second tier of tennis. The Challenger Tour events are the second-highest tier of tennis competition, behind the ATP Tour. The ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are on the entry-level of international professional tennis competition. The ATP Challenger Tour is administered by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Players who succeed on the ATP Challenger Tour earn sufficient ranking points to become eligible for main draw or qualifying draw entry at ATP Tour tournaments. Players on the Challenger Tour are usually young players looking to advance their careers, those who fail to qualify for ATP events, or former ATP players looking to get back into the big tour.

Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi is a Pakistani professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is the only Pakistani player ever to reach a Grand Slam final, having done so in both men's and mixed doubles at the 2010 US Open, alongside Rohan Bopanna and Květa Peschke respectively. Qureshi has also reached seven further major semifinals across the two disciplines. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 8 in June 2011, and has won 18 titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2011 Paris Masters and 2013 Miami Open, with Bopanna and Jean-Julien Rojer respectively. The Da Nang Tennis Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour. It was held in Da Nang, Vietnam in 2019.

The 2020 ATP Challenger Tour calendar comprised 57 tournaments with prize money ranging from $35,000 up to $162,480. It was the 43rd edition of challenger tournaments cycle and 12th under the name of Challenger Tour.
