The Vietnam Open is a tennis tournament held annually in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, since 2015. The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played on outdoor hard courts. For sponsorship reasons, the tournament was called Vietnam Open presented by Bia Saigon Special in 2015 and Vietnam Open presented by Vietravel in 2016. In 2017 the tournament was sponsored by local real estate developer Hung Thinh Corporation. In January 2019, the Vietnam Open will be hosted for the first time in Da Nang City. The tournament is managed by Sports Marketing Company STREAM Vietnam and directed by International Sports Agent Mr Longy Le Hoang.

Australian Open

The Australian Open is a tennis tournament held annually over the last fortnight of January at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. The tournament is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events held each year, preceding the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. It features men's and women's singles; men's, women's, and mixed doubles; junior's championships; and wheelchair, legends, and exhibition events. French Open French Open Tennis Championships

The French Open, also called Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May each year. The venue is named after the French aviator Roland Garros. It is the premier clay court tennis championship tournament in the world and the second of the four annual Grand Slam tournaments, the other three being the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. The French Open is currently the only Grand Slam tournament held on clay, and it is the conclusion of the spring clay court season. Before 1975, the French Open was the lone non-grass major tournament. Between the seven rounds needed for a championship, the slow-playing surface and the best-of-five-set men's singles matches, the event is widely considered to be the most physically demanding tennis tournament in the world.

U.S. Open (golf)

The United States Open Championship, commonly known as the U.S. Open, is the annual open national championship of golf in the United States. It is the third of the four major championships in golf, and is on the official schedule of both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. Since 1898 the competition has been 72 holes of stroke play, with the winner being the player with the lowest total number of strokes. It is staged by the United States Golf Association (USGA) in mid-June, scheduled so that, if there are no weather delays, the final round is played on the third Sunday. The U.S. Open is staged at a variety of courses, set up in such a way that scoring is very difficult, with a premium placed on accurate driving. As of 2019 the U.S. Open awards a $12.5 million purse, the largest of all four major championships and tied for largest of all PGA Tour events.

2003 Southeast Asian Games

The 2003 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 22nd Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Hanoi, Vietnam. This was the first time for Vietnam to host the Southeast Asian Games and the first time for East Timor participated at the Southeast Asian Games.

The 2007 BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix was the inaugural season of BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix under the new tournament structure introduced by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It was held from February 28 and will end on December 12, 2007. 12 events were planned, but India Open Grand Prix Gold was cancelled following the bomb blast in the city. The organizers decided to postpone the tournament to indefinite date. However, the President of Badminton Association of India said the tournament is likely to take place from January 7 to January 13, 2008. But BWF later confirmed the event was cancelled. Had the tournament been held, it would be have been held in Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad from 4–9 September 2007.

The Shri Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Balewadi, Pune is an Indian sports complex. The complex is situated at about 14–15 km from Pune downtown and 4–5 km from Hinjawadi, Pune. The 2015 Vietnam Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It is the first edition of the tournament which is part of the 2015 ATP Challenger Tour. It takes place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam between 12 and 18 October 2015.

Yuta Watanabe is a badminton player from Japan. He was a member of the Nihon Unisys team, and national team A representative. Watanabe has collected three bronze medals at the World Junior Championships, and also four bronze at the Asian Junior Championships. Watanabe was selected to join the Japanese mixed team compete at the 2017 Sudirman Cup in Gold Coast, Australia, winning a gold medal in the qualification to Gold Coast at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and the team finished in the semi-final round, took the bronze medal. The left-handed Watanabe won the maiden Super 1000 tournament at the 2018 All England Open in the mixed doubles event partnered with Arisa Higashino.

Vietnam national cricket team

The Vietnam national cricket team represents Vietnam in international cricket. It debuted in the cricket tournament at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 2017 Vietnam Open Grand Prix, officially Yonex Sunrise Vietnam Open 2017 was a badminton tournament which took place at the Nguyen Du Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 4–10 September 2017 and had a total purse of $65,000.

The 2018 Vietnam Open was a badminton tournament which took place at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Vietnam from 7 to 12 August 2018 and had a total purse of $75,000.

The 2019 Vietnam Open was a badminton tournament which took place at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 10 to 15 September 2019 and had a total purse of $75,000.
