Viva Hinds is the fourth studio album by Spanish garage rock band Hinds. The album was released on 6 September 2024 under Lucky Number and is the band's first new album in four years since the 2020 release of The Prettiest Curse . The album marks the first release by the band since the departure of bassist Ade Martin and drummer Amber Grimbergen who quit the band in 2022. Viva Hinds was preceded by the singles and music videos for "Coffee", "Boom Boom Back", "En Forma", "Superstar" and "The Bed, the Room, the Rain and You". [1]

The album was produced by former drummer for The Vaccines, Pete Robertson, and features guest appearances by Beck and Grian Chatten from Fontaines D.C. The album also features songs in Spanish. [2]

The album was acclaimed by critics. [3] It was listed in The Independent as the 15th best album of 2024, with Mark Beaumont calling it "a sonic tapas platter of styles, all melting on the eardrum." [5]

Hinds is a Spanish indie rock band from Madrid, formed in 2011. The group currently performs as a duo consisting of Carlotta Cosials and Ana García Perrote. The original name of the band was Deers, but they changed it at the end of 2014 after a threat of legal action from the similarly named band The Dears. The group chose "Hinds", an English word of Germanic origin that means "does" or "female deers", as the new name of the band and officially implemented the name change on 7 January 2015.

Combat Sports is the fourth studio album by English indie rock band, The Vaccines. The album was released on 30 March 2018 through Columbia Records. It is the first album recorded with keyboardist Timothy Lanham and drummer Yoann Intonti, both of whom had originally joined the band as touring musicians during the English Graffiti album cycle, with Lanham added from the campaign's inception, while Intonti—who was still a member of Spector at the time—replaced the departed Pete Robertson in the last phase of the campaign. Both became involved in the making of Combat Sports at the midway point before being promoted to full members of the band with Lanham pictured wearing a T-shirt with the album title featured on the front cover, an idea inspired by the album's opening track, "Put It on a T-Shirt". The overall cover art concept is an homage to the band's debut album, albeit "more of an abrasive version of that". The album title itself came out in the immediate aftermath of a fight that broke out in the studio between Young and Cowan towards the end of making the album.

I Don't Run is the second studio album by Spanish garage rock band Hinds. It was released on April 6, 2018, by Mom + Pop Music and is the band's first studio album since Leave Me Alone in 2016. The band worked on the album with Gordon Raphael, who produced albums for American band The Strokes and singer Regina Spektor. The album was preceded by the singles and music videos for "New For You", "The Club" and "Finally Floating". On October 1, 2018, Hinds released an alternative acoustic version of "Rookie" through Amazon Music, inspired by a relaxed version of "Revolution" by The Beatles.
