Voyage to the Crystal Grotto is a tow boat ride that is currently operating at Shanghai Disneyland Park. The ride is the first ride to take riders inside a Disney castle [1] and opened along with the rest of the park on June 16, 2016.

Ride experience

The ride is described officially as "an enchanting excursion that travels the waters of Fantasyland. Fanciful fountains and sculptures line the water’s edge, celebrating classic tales of magic and imagination. At journey’s end, guests glide beneath Enchanted Storybook Castle, into a secret, underground chamber in which fountains of light leap and dance in shimmering pools, surrounding guests with magic, music and color. The experience is sure to inspire the dreams and imaginations of all who make this wondrous voyage."

The boat takes riders past sculpture gardens featuring characters from Disney movies such as Beauty and the Beast , Aladdin , The Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia, Tangled , Mulan , and The Little Mermaid . [2] Afterwards, the boat glides into a chamber underneath the Enchanted Storybook Castle, which has "fountains of light", music, and water effects. [3]

The Astro Orbiter is a "rocket-spinner", aerial carousel-type attraction featured at five Disneyland-style parks and Walt Disney Resorts around the world, except for Tokyo Disneyland. Although each ride may have a slightly different name, all share the same experience of vehicles traveling through space, spinning around a central monument. In most forms of the ride, the use of a joystick enables guests to adjust the height of their individual cars at will, usually within a range of no more than 10-15 feet. Ignite the Dream unfolds on the park's castle, Enchanted Storybook Castle, similar to other hybrid-nighttime castle shows found at other Disney parks, including: Disney Illuminations at Disneyland Paris for the 25th Anniversary edition. The show features fireworks, water fountains, fire, lasers, projection mapping, and searchlights. The show’s story is centered on Mickey Mouse flying through the evening sky after discovering a magical spark that ignites his imagination.

Enchanted Storybook Castle is a castle in Shanghai Disneyland. Similarly to the Castle of Magical Dreams in Hong Kong Disneyland, it represents all of the Disney Princesses and not only one. Additionally, it is the tallest castle in all of the related Disney theme parks. It replaced Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle as the tallest castle in any Disney Park.

Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland was a nighttime spectacular at Tokyo Disneyland that premiered on July 10, 2018, alongside Dreaming Up!, Let's Party Gras, and Hello, New York! as part of the 35th anniversary of Tokyo Disney Resort. The show was produced by Walt Disney Creative Entertainment, under Lead Creative Executive of Parades and Spectaculars Steve Davison.
