"Vyzee" is a song recorded by the English musician Sophie, released on 24 November 2015 as the eighth and final single from her only compilation album Product (2015).
Sophie announced her compilation album Product on 30 September 2015, to contain four previously released tracks—"Bipp", "Elle", "Lemonade", and "Hard"—and four new ones. [1] Following the release of "MSMSMSM", "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye" and "L.O.V.E.", "Vyzee" was the final single to be released off the album on 24 November 2015, three days before its official release. [2] [3] "Vyzee" was first played at Sophie's Boiler Room set in 2014 and had since received a cult following. [4] The song was released on vinyl as the B-side to "MSMSMSM"; Numbers reissued it in 2019. [5]
Sophie Walker of The Forty-Five defined it as hyperpop. [6] James Keith of Complex called it "maximalist '90s dance-pop". [3] Keith said that the song "hits all the usual Sophie buttons—jaunty melody, tongue-in-cheek vocal sample, hard percussion ... there's also a faint hint of bassline, most noticeably in the helter-skelter melody". [3]
Mr. P of Tiny Mix Tapes called it a "bouncy, effervescent, squishy, bubbly, fizzy, vivacious little banger". [4] Colin Joyce of Spin called it "watery", "elastic" and "plasticine", "fulfilling the melting pop promises" of the three previous Product singles. According to Joyce, "on this one, the glow stick has finally popped — spewing its luminous innards everywhere", and that, like Sophie's song "Bipp", the song "makes its overtures ambivalent". [2] Keith said: "A typically skewed take on pop music, the producer's sonic weirdness doesn't show any signs of getting tired any time soon". [3]
The New York Times ranked it as the 8th best song of the year. [7] Walker named it the fifth best hyperpop song of all time, saying that "Vyzee" "is the exploding plastic inevitable—a cheerleading rally to the hilt, popping frothing like a can of cola shaken to the limit". [6]
In 2021, the "MSMSMSM / Vyzee" vinyl appeared at the Official Physical Singles Chart and the Official Vinyl Singles Chart. [8]

Sophie Xeon, known mononymously as SOPHIE, was an English music producer, songwriter, and DJ. Her work is known for its brash take on pop music and is distinguished by experimental sound design, "sugary" synthesized textures, and incorporation of underground dance styles. She would help pioneer the 2010s hyperpop microgenre.
PC Music is a record label and art collective based in London and run by producer A. G. Cook. It was founded in 2013, uploading its first releases to SoundCloud that year. Artists on its roster have included Hannah Diamond, GFOTY, Danny L Harle, Easyfun, Namasenda, and Planet 1999. It was released on 15 June 2018, through Transgressive, Future Classic and Sophie's own label, MSMSMSM. The title may be a mondegreen of the phrase "I love every person's insides". The album was Sophie's second full-length release after the singles collection Product (2015).

A double-album, it features new songs and remixes from her debut studio album, Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides (2018). The album was first announced as a limited edition release with clutch bags. Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides Non-Stop Remix Album was positively received, with a Clash writer saying that it set a high bar for remix albums. It received a nomination at the AIM Independent Music Awards.
Ash Blue Gutierrez, known professionally as Glaive, is an American singer-songwriter. After posting a string of hyperpop songs to SoundCloud during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that earned him a following, he signed a record deal with Interscope Records and released his debut extended play, Cypress Grove, in 2020. His debut album, I Care So Much That I Don't Care at All, was released in 2023. His second album, May It Never Falter, was released in 2024.
Cypress Grove is the debut extended play (EP) by the American musician Glaive. It was released by Interscope Records on November 19, 2020. After recording music in his bedroom at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Glaive became a leading force of the hyperpop genre and signed a deal with Interscope in October 2020. Cypress Grove pulls from multiple genres. It was recorded in Glaive's childhood bedroom in Hendersonville, North Carolina and was named after a street in North Carolina.
