William Washington, known professionally as WLPWR (pronounced Willpower) is a musician and music producer who founded SupaHotBeats [1] in 2002, as well as BNDWTH, a record label and production studio based out of Atlanta founded by Washington in 2018.
Will began producing music as early as 1997 in while living in Columbia, SC. It was in the Carolinas that WLPWR first began to make a name for himself while producing for nearly every urban artist on the local independent scene. While working in a compound of music producers, and audio engineers, WLPWR worked with producer K-Def who mentored Will and taught him how to produce hip hop on Logic Pro. In an era before the internet, he was selling music out of his trunk. In 2001 WLPWR worked as a producer for Sylvia Robinson. [2] [3] In these early years of his career he met Yelawolf in the lobby of Sugar Hill Records, and they formed an instant connection. During this time, his label SupaHotBeats was established in Columbia,SC. Through this label, Will started The Starving Artist Showcase, a music contest which later laid the foundation for his television show The Independent Music Review. The show aired on WACH Fox 57 in Columbia. [4] In 2005 he made the decision to move his business to Atlanta, GA where the music industry was more accessible. [5] In 2007, Will reconnected with Yelawolf to work on his studio album Fearin' and Loathin' in Smalltown, U.S.A. for Columbia Records.
In 2009, Will produced Yelawolf's mixtape "Trunk Muzik" [6] which was later re-released by Interscope Records as Trunk Muzik 0-60 [7] Trunk Muzik launched Will further into his career as a hip-hop producer. Though he continued to work with Yelawolf on his debut for Shady Records, Will and Yelawolf never became exclusive to each other in terms of their work, despite their chemistry.
A few years after the release of the original Trunk Muzik, Will and Yelawolf returned to the studio and released Trunk Muzik Returns , which was another success. [8] Building on this momentum, Building on this momentum, his most recent work is another album he did with Yelawolf titled Love Story [9] which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Chart and peaked on the Billboard Chart (Hip Hop). Will's production style attracted many other artists, including Rittz, Wiz Khalifa, Tech N9ne and Eminem. The way he describes his production style is a unique one-on-one collaboration with each different artist, tailoring his beats and sounds to the artist's personal style and working off the vibe they create together in the studio. When he is not working with other artists he continues to create music for himself as a musician, and helps other producers learn the business. [12]
In 2016 Wlpwr started as podcast titled "The FreeGame Producers Podcast" in which he interviews music producers and other music industry professionals about the business of making music. Some of his guests included notable musicians such as Big K.R.I.T., !llmind, Focus..., Dj Toomp Jazze Pha and more. [13] In 2019 the podcast partnered with AirBit and took the podcast to YouTube for viewers to watch the recorded interviews.

Shady Records is an American record label founded by rapper Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg in 1999, following the commercially successful release of The Slim Shady LP that same year.
Joseph Anthony Budden II is an American media personality, broadcaster, cultural critic, and retired rapper. He first gained recognition in the latter occupation with his 2003 single "Pump It Up", which peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and preceded the release of his eponymous debut studio album (2003). Met with critical and commercial success, the album peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200, although it served as his only major label release for Def Jam Recordings; he thereafter released seven albums independently to continued critical praise. While doing so, he performed as a member of the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, which were signed to Eminem's Shady Records in 2012; the group released two studio albums.
Bad Meets Evil is an American hip hop super duo composed of Detroit-based rappers Royce da 5'9" (Bad) and Eminem (Evil). Formed in 1998, the duo's name comes from the namesake song from Eminem's The Slim Shady LP (1999), which featured Royce da 5'9". They debuted the same year with the release of the double single, "Nuttin' to Do" and "Scary Movies", the latter of which for the soundtrack to the 2000 horror comedy parody film Scary Movie. A decade later, the duo reunited to release an extended play (EP) to critical and commercial success.
Joell Christopher Ortiz is an American rapper and a former member of the group Slaughterhouse. Ortiz grew up in the Cooper Park Houses in the East Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York, formerly signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment record label. He was featured in the Unsigned Hype column of the March 2004 issue of The Source Magazine and was also selected as Chairman's Choice in XXL Magazine.
Slaughterhouse was an American hip hop supergroup consisting of rappers Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9". They released their eponymous debut studio album independently in 2009, and signed to Shady Records, an imprint of Interscope Records to release it's follow up, Welcome to: Our House in 2012. The group disbanded in 2018.
Michael Wayne Atha, better known by his stage name Yelawolf, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born in Gadsden, Alabama, and raised in Antioch, Tennessee, he embarked on his recording career in 2005, releasing four mixtapes to positive local reception. His debut extended play (EP), Trunk Muzik gained Yelawolf mainstream recognition, leading him to sign a recording contract with Interscope Records. He re-worked the EP as his first major label release, Trunk Muzik 0-60 (2010).
Justin Lewis Scott, better known by his stage name Big K.R.I.T., is an American rapper and record producer. Born in Meridian, Mississippi, he began his musical career in 2005. He was signed to Def Jam Recordings by Sha Money XL in 2010, and first gained recognition following the release of his single "Country Shit". The following year, he guest appeared on T.I.'s promotional single "I'm Flexin'", which became Scott's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

He made a name for himself by performing beats and instrumentals live and in real time on a AkaiPro Music Production Center (MPC) drum machine. He uses MPC to produce rapid, rhythmic drum patterns and creates melodies with samples and other sounds.
"Pop the Trunk" is a song by American rapper Yelawolf from his mixtape Trunk Muzik. It was originally released, with a music video, on July 27, 2010 as a single to promote Trunk Muzik, and has since been re-released as the lead single from his second EP, Trunk Muzik 0-60. The reason this particular song was chosen to be included on his official release was because he wanted to include 5 "fan favorites" in addition to 7 new songs, as this track is indeed one of—if not the—most well-known song by Yelawolf to date. The song's concept revolves around life in Gadsden, Alabama and the environment that the artist grew up in, as Yelawolf is essentially just describing his surroundings and different events he's witnessed. Yelawolf described in an interview that this track was actually the first one he wrote for Trunk Muzik, and the first verse was basically a nod to his stepfather that raised him. The title of the song refers to a popular slang term which involves retrieving a firearm from the trunk of one's automobile.
Trunk Muzik Returns is the sixth official mixtape by American rapper Yelawolf. The mixtape was released as a free digital download on March 14, 2013 on his Slumerican website and other mixtape hosting websites. It features production solely by WLPWR of SupaHotBeats, and guest appearances by Paul Wall, A$AP Rocky, Big Henry, Raekwon and Killer Mike.

His debut album The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant was released on April 30, 2013, rising to number 8 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. His next two albums, Next to Nothing (2014) and Top of the Line (2016) peaked at number 3 on the same chart. His fourth album, Last Call (2017), hit number 43 on the Billboard 200. All of these were released under Tech N9ne's Strange Music label.

Shady XV is a hip hop compilation album performed by various artists of Shady Records. The double disc album was released on November 24, 2014, by Shady Records and Interscope Records. The album was released in honor of the label's 15th anniversary and as its 15th project. The compilation consists of two discs, the first featuring new material from Shady Records artists such as Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12 and Yelawolf, as well as the label's founder Eminem. The second disc includes the label's greatest hits, also featuring former Shady Records members. All previous and current members of the label are represented on the album.

The album was described by Yelawolf as a more passionate album than his debut album. Recording process took place primarily in Nashville, Tennessee from 2012 to 2015. The production on the album was handled by Yelawolf himself, along with Eminem, Malay and WLPWR, among others. The album was influenced by aspects of country and rock.
Cydel Charles Young, known professionally as CyHi the Prynce, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Stone Mountain, Georgia. He signed his first major-label recording contract with Akon's Konvict Muzik, in a joint venture with Def Jam Recordings in 2009. The following year, he gained mainstream attention for his guest appearance on Kanye West's 2010 song "So Appalled" from his fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). Trunk Muzik III is the fifth studio album by American rapper Yelawolf, released on March 29, 2019. It is his final album under Eminem's imprint Shady Records, and was released in conjunction with Interscope Records and Yelawolf's own label Slumerican. The album marks a return to an emphasis on the southern hip hop sound that was predominant in Yelawolf's music at the start of the decade, a contrast to the country-folk and hip hop fusions of his previous two albums. While the album is titled as the third in the Trunk Muzik series, it is, technically, the fourth, following his 2009 mixtape Trunk Muzik, its subsequent 2010 reissue Trunk Muzik 0-60, and 2013's Trunk Muzik Returns.
Ghetto Cowboy is the sixth studio album by American rapper Yelawolf, released on October 31, 2019. It is his second independent studio album, after his 2005 debut Creekwater, and his first since departing from Eminem's imprint Shady Records, and its parent label, Interscope Records, following the release of Trunk Muzik 3 earlier in the year. The album's title is a homage to the 1998 hit single of the same name by the hip hop collective Mo Thugs.
