Wallop is the eighth studio album by American dance-punk group !!!, released on August 30, 2019, on Warp Records. [2] It was recorded primarily in Brooklyn at frontman Nic Offer's apartment. It features vocal contributions by Meah Pace, Cameron Mesirow, Angus Andrew of Liars and Maria Uzor of Sink Ya Teeth. [3] [4]
The double A-side single "UR Paranoid" / "Off the Grid" was released on May 30, 2019. [5] [6] Wallop was announced on June 19, 2019, alongside the release of "Serbia Drums" as a single. [7] "This Is the Door" was released as a single on August 6, 2019. [8] "Couldn't Have Known" was released as the album's final single on August 27, 2019. [9]

Zahraa Hmood of Exclaim! gave the album a positive review, writing, "Occasionally on Wallop, !!! sound either too world-weary or too committed to being incendiary to relay ideas relevant to listeners. !!!, also known as Chk Chk Chk, is an American rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 1996 by lead singer Nic Offer. Members of !!! came from other local bands such as the Yah Mos, Black Liquorice and Pope Smashers. They are currently based in New York City. The band's ninth album, Let It Be Blue, was released in May 2022.
Broadcast were an English band formed in Birmingham in 1995 by Trish Keenan and James Cargill (bass). Their musical style blended elements of 1960s psychedelia with early electronic music and samples from esoteric sources; it earned the band a cult following.
Louden Up Now is the second studio album by American dance-punk band !!!. Released on July 27, 2004, through Touch and Go Records in the United States and Warp Records in the rest of the world, the album was greeted by mainly positive reviews from critics, with AllMusic hailing it as "a modern-day agit-pop indie dance-rock classic." Louden Up Now sees the group continue to meld funky dance rhythms with post-punk influences.
Myth Takes is the third album by !!!. The album was released on March 5, 2007. It was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, United States, and features drummer Jerry Fuchs. Early limited edition copies of the CD version of the album came with a second disc containing three remixes.
"Paranoid" is a song by American musician Kanye West from his fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak (2008). The song features vocals from English musician Mr Hudson and background vocals from American singer Kid Cudi. West handled the production, with co-production from Jeff Bhasker and Plain Pat. The song was written by the producers alongside Kid Cudi and American rapper Consequence. It was serviced to top 40 radio stations in the United States on March 23, 2009, as the fourth and final single from the album. An upbeat new wave track, the song features electronic drum effects and pop synths. Its lyrical content is centered around West being pushed away by the mistrustful thinking of a woman that he is in love with.
"Empire Ants" is a song by British virtual band Gorillaz, released on their third studio album Plastic Beach. It features guest vocals and instrumentation from Yukimi Nagano, the vocalist of the trip hop band Little Dragon.

Jay Watson is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer and songwriter. He is best known as a touring member of the psychedelic rock band Tame Impala and as a co-founder of the psychedelic rock/pop band Pond, with whom he's recorded nine albums. Watson also records solo material under the name GUM and, as of 2023, has released six studio albums under this name. In addition, he sometimes collaborates with fellow Pond member James Ireland as the duo GUM & Ginoli, remixing songs originally recorded by a variety of different artists, and occasionally contributes production and mixing to the solo projects of fellow Pond members.
