Walnut Shade is an unincorporated community in Taney County, Missouri, United States. [1] It is located approximately six miles northwest of Forsyth on U.S. Route 160. The town sits at the confluence of Bull and Bear Creeks. [2] [3] Walnut Shade is part of the Branson, Missouri Micropolitan Statistical Area. The ZIP Code for Walnut Shade is 65771. [4]

A post office called Walnut Shade has been in operation since 1860. [5] The community once had Walnut Shade Schoolhouse, now defunct. [6] The name "Walnut Shade" is commendatory. [7]

Bonniebrook Homestead was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. [8]

Walnut Shade is the site of the Branson Cross, the largest cross monument in North America. [9] [10]

Fall Creek is a small creek with headwaters in Stone County just south of Missouri Route 76 and northeast of Silver Dollar City. The stream enters Taney County and flows southeast between Route 76 and Missouri Route 265 through west Branson and joins the White River downstream of the Table Rock Lake dam in south Branson. It flows parallel to and then under Missouri Route 165. The White River enters Lake Taneycomo downstream.

Bull Creek is a stream in Christian and Taney counties in the Ozarks of southern Missouri.

Chula Vista is a summit in Taney County in the U.S. state of Missouri. The summit has an elevation of 1,302 feet (397 m). The summit lies along Missouri Route 248 at the intersection with Buchanan Road and is approximately four miles north of Branson.

Gettman Hollow is a valley in Taney County in the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri. Gettman Hollow is a tributary to Bull Creek.

Mutton Hollow is a valley in western Taney County, Missouri. Mutton Hollow lies southwest of Missouri Route 76 west of Branson. It drains southwest and joins Fall Creek just east of the Taney-Stone County line. Mutton Hollow is approximately one mile in length. The head of Mutton Hollow is at about 1300 feet in elevation just below Route 76 and the elevation at the confluence with Fall Creek is 912 feet.

Roark Creek is a stream in Taney County, Missouri. The stream begins at the junction of the West and East forks near the village of Garber. From there the streamflow southeast to its junction with the White River in Branson. The Missouri Pacific Railroad line follows the stream and the West Fork Roark Creek northwest to Reeds Spring.

Turkey Creek is a stream in the Ozarks of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. It is a tributary of Lake Taneycomo. The stream source is two-thirds of a mile south of the Missouri - Arkansas border in Boone County north of the village of Crest. The Missouri Pacific Railroad line follows the stream course after exiting the Crest railroad tunnel under Arkansas State Route 14 at Crest. North of the state line in Taney County the stream flows north through west Hollister to its confluence with Lake Taneycomo south of Branson. The stream covers a linear distance of 86 mi (138 km) between the border and its confluence.

Bear Creek is a stream in Christian and Taney counties in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. It is a tributary of Bull Creek.
