The Waterbury Career Academy is a high school located in the North End section of Waterbury, Connecticut, in the United States. The school consists of four strands. Students are able to pick a strand at the end of their freshman term. It is a part of Waterbury Public Schools. Jade L. Gopie took the role as Principal in August 2020 after former principal Dr. Louis A. Padua announced his retirement. Then in October 2021, Michael Harris, former assistant principal, was promoted to principal after Gopie was promoted to Assistant Superintendent.
As of 2023, School is currently run by Principal Michael Harris and Assistant Principals Jennifer Franceskino and Peter Flammia
Their first graduating class occurred in 2017.
Post University is a private for-profit university in Waterbury, Connecticut. It was founded in 1890 as Post College. The university offers over 25 undergraduate and graduate programs in day, evening, and online courses.
Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Education High School is a public secondary school in Queens's Jamaica Hills community in New York City. The Gilbert School is a privately endowed secondary school that serves as the public high school for the towns of Winchester and Hartland, Connecticut and the public middle school for Winchester. The Gilbert School serves grades 7-12. The school was founded in 1895 as the result of the bequest of William L. Gilbert who, in his will, made provision for the “establishment and maintenance of an institution of learning to be known as The Gilbert School.”
Palisade Preparatory School was a public middle high school and a former College Board School, comprising grades 7–12, in Yonkers, New York, United States. It was operated by the Yonkers Public Schools since its founding in September 2008 until its closure in June 2022. At the June 14, 2022 Board of Education Stated Meeting, the school was renamed the Barack Obama School for Social Justice beginning with the 2022-23 school year.
Crosby High School is a public high school located in the East End section of the city of Waterbury, Connecticut. It is part of the Waterbury Public Schools district. It was first opened in 1851 and is currently the third oldest high school in Connecticut. It has an enrollment of approximately 1368 students. Originally located at 255 East Main Street in Waterbury, it moved to 300 Pierpont Road in September, 1974. It is attached to Wallace Middle School, in the Edward D. Bergin Educational Park. The former principal was Jade L. Gopie, the first African-American principal in the history of the Waterbury Public Schools. Now Michael Veronneau runs the school as principal.
C.E. King High School is a secondary school located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States and serves grades 9 through 12. It is the only high school in the Sheldon Independent School District. The school serves unincorporated areas of northeast Harris County including the Sheldon CDP and several nearby communities and subdivisions.
