The Wave Group is a business conglomerate that deals in the manufacturing, real estate, education, sports and entertainment industries. [1] Over the course of 50 years, the group has expanded across multiple segments in Manufacturing & Production in India. [2] The conglomerate has been growing under the hands of Manpreet Singh Chadha (Known as Monty Chadha), Vice Chairman of the group. [3]

History

Envisioned by late Kulwant Singh Chadha, the Wave Group was established in 1963. [4] Started as a sugar cane crushing business, the major industrial diversification of the group started with the paper manufacturing unit in Bilaspur, Uttar Pradesh, steel plant in Dhanaura, Uttar Pradesh and finally diversified into real estate, with the onset of popular Centerstage Mall (now Wave Mall) [5] in Noida's business centre, Sector 18.

After the death of Gurdeep Singh Chadha, his son Manpreet Singh Chadha has led the Wave Group since 2012. [6]

Education

The Wave Group's Genesis Global School, situated in Noida, India is a residential school with a campus of over 30 acres. The day-cum-boarding school emphasises the importance of technology, Modern Pedagogy, culture and innovation in its syllabus. [12] In 2013, the Genesis Global School was ranked 5th in a survey of schools across India by the Hindustan Times. [13] In early 2018, Genesis Global School wins national championship at inaugural F1 in Schools India. [14]

Sports

Delhi Waveriders (abbreviated as DWR) is a field hockey franchise based in Delhi that plays in the Hockey India League. It is owned by the Wave Group. [15] Amongst the 24 players in the team, 14 are Indian nationals while the other members are from Germany, Pakistan, Netherlands, South Africa, Australia and Spain.

Entertainment

The Wave Group moved into the film production and distribution business in 1999 and in 2005. Wave has started the film exhibition through Wave Cinemas, the premium multiplex chain. In 2014, it has distributed over 150 Bollywood blockbusters. [16] In addition to India, the global distribution network covers a range of countries that include Nepal, Bhutan, United States and the UK. Currently, the CEO of WAVE cinemas is Mr. Rajiv Gupta

Wave City

Wave City [17] is located on NH24, the newest suburb of Delhi. It is based on the concept of building a city that thinks for you. The project is spread across 4500 acres, and employs fiber optic technology, waste and water management system, weather substation, 24x7 CCTV surveillance, intelligent traffic management, smart metering system, central command centre and more. The project also has hospitals, educational institutions, ISKCON Temple, local shopping centers, malls [18] and multiplexes in the close vicinity. Wave City, adjacent to NH 24 Ghaziabad is a society where you will get state-of-art independent floors, mid-rise apartments, plots, flats, villas, affordable housing units and shop & office spaces.

Wave City Center

Wave City Center is an integrated township by Wave Infratech, spanning across a sizeable area in Sector 32, Noida. Wave City Center [19] is a mix of commercial & residential development, building up in the heart of Noida. As one of the largest commercial and residential landmarks, it will house a product-mix of Serviced Residences, Multi-use Studio Apartments, Premium Offices, High Street Shop Condominiums and Retail Shops.

Wave Estate

Wave Estate is a gated community in Greater Mohali, Punjab. Spread across 300 acres, Wave Estate offers villas, plots, floors and housing condominiums. Wave Estate is located at the heart of Mohali in Sector 85 and Sector 99.

Wave One

Wave One - a 41-storey structure, with over 2 million sq. ft. of built-up area, is set in the heart of Sector 18, [20] the commercial hub of Noida. The tower will offer a blend of high street shopping, offices, and modern entertainment and leisure amenities. Wave One offers spacious car parking facility which can accommodate over 2600 cars.

Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan

In 1999, the Wave Group founded the Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan (MBCN) in Noida. MBCN is a charitable school and rehabilitation center for children with intellectual impairment, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, early intervention, speech therapy and multiple disabilities. [21] [22] Endeavouring to grant maximum independence to the differently abled, the institute also runs specialized vocational training programs and eco-friendly paper product manufacturing workshops. The Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC) is a planned industrial development project between India's capital, Delhi and its financial hub, Mumbai. The DMIC project was launched in pursuance of an MOU signed between the Government of India and the Government of Japan in December 2006. It is one of the world's largest infrastructure projects with an estimated investment of US$90 billion and is planned as a high-tech industrial zone spread across six states, as well as Delhi, the national capital and itself a Union Territory. The investments will be spread across the 1,500 km long Western Dedicated Freight Corridor which will serve as the industrial corridor's transportation backbone.

Delhi Waveriders Field hockey franchise based in Delhi, India

Delhi Waveriders (DLW) is a field hockey franchise based in Delhi that plays in the Hockey India League. It is owned by The Wave Group. The captain of the team for HIL 2016 is Simon Child with Rupinder Pal Singh being the Vice-Captain of the team. Mr. Cedric Dsouza is the chief coach of the team for HIL 2016.

Noida Metro rapid transit system serving Noida and Greater Noida in the National Capital Region of India

The Noida Metro is a rapid transit system connecting the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. The metro network consists of one line, with a total length of 29.7 kilometres (18.5 mi) serving 21 stations. A second line is planned. The system has all elevated stations using standard-gauge tracks.
