Wells on Sea railway station is located in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk on the narrow gauge Wells and Walsingham Light Railway. [1] It was opened in 1982. It is located south of the former level crossing on the A149 Coast Road, close to the former junction with the West Norfolk Junction Railway. The original station, which has been converted to non-rail use, is half a mile closer to the town.
Passenger facilities consist of a single rail-level platform, a large car park, toilets (near the car park), and the ground floor of a formerly redundant signal box moved from Swainsthorpe to Wells, wherein a souvenir shop and tearoom are now situated, together with waiting room facilities.
A small yard, a water tower, storage sheds, and the main steam locomotive shed and works are all located at the southern end of the passenger station. At the northern end of the station there is a smaller secondary engine shed, generally used for the housing of the diesel locomotives. As of 2014 the northern depot also includes a large purpose-built shed with engineering facilities, lifting equipment, and powerful internal lighting. This shed is used as the winter (closed season) carriage shed, but during the summer (operating season) it becomes the main engineering works and locomotive running shed. Outside the new shed, on the site of the former turntable, a large overhead gantry has been installed (during 2014) for heavy lifting.
The North Norfolk Railway (NNR) – also known as the "Poppy Line" – is a 5+1⁄4-mile (8.4 km) heritage steam railway in Norfolk, England, running between the towns of Sheringham and Holt. The North Norfolk Railway is owned and operated as a public limited company, originally called Central Norfolk Enterprises Limited. The railway is listed as exempt from the UK Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2000.

Central is a heritage-listed railway station located in the centre of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Mid-Norfolk Railway (MNR) is a 17+1⁄2 miles (28.2 km) preserved standard gauge heritage railway, one of the longest in Great Britain. Preservation efforts began in 1974, but the line re-opened to passengers only in the mid-1990s as part of the "new generation" of heritage railways. The MNR owns and operates most of the former Wymondham-Fakenham branch line of the Norfolk Railway. The branch opened in 1847, was closed to passengers in stages from 1964 to 1969 as part of the Beeching cuts, and was finally fully closed to goods traffic in 1989.

The Wells and Walsingham Light Railway is a 10+1⁄4 in gauge heritage railway in Norfolk, England running between the coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea and the inland village of Walsingham. The railway occupies a four-mile (6.4 km) section of the trackbed of the former Wymondham to Wells branch which was closed to passengers in stages from 1964 to 1969 as part of the Beeching cuts. Other parts of this line, further south, have also been preserved by the Mid-Norfolk Railway.

The West Norfolk Junction Railway was a standard gauge eighteen and a half-mile single-track railway running between Wells-next-the-Sea railway station and Heacham in the English county of Norfolk. It opened in 1866 and closed in 1953. At Wells the line made a junction with the Wells and Fakenham Railway and at Heacham it connected with the line from Hunstanton to Kings Lynn.
The Wymondham to Wells Branch was a railway built in stages by the Norfolk Railway, Eastern Counties Railway and Wells and Fakenham Company between 1847 and 1857. The railway ran from Wymondham in the south, through Dereham and Fakenham to the coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea; more specifically, the line ran from Wymondham South Junction, where it met the present-day Breckland Line. Passenger services along the line lasted until 1969; the railway continued to be used for freight until 1989. The southern section of the railway now forms the Mid-Norfolk Railway, with part of the northern section serving as the narrow gauge Wells and Walsingham Light Railway.
Oswestry railway station is a Grade II listed heritage railway station in Oswestry, Shropshire, England. It was closed when passenger services were withdrawn in 1966. The station building today is used as commercial premises, although the Cambrian Railways Society are restoring it.
