Welti is an unincorporated community in Cullman County, Alabama, United States. [1] Welti was damaged during the April 2014 tornado outbreak. Welti was formerly home to the Welti Road Covered Bridge, until it was burned down on October 22, 1939. Welti Falls, a waterfall created from the spillway of Forest Ingram Lake, is located near Welti.

It is a "moist" county in terms of availability of alcoholic beverages; the cities of Cullman, Good Hope and Hanceville allow sale of alcohol and are "wet" and the rest of the county is dry.
Friedrich Emil Welti was a Swiss politician, lawyer and judge. From 1856 to 1866, he was a member of the government of the canton of Aargau and, beginning in 1857, the Council of States. in 1867, Welti was elected to the Bundesrat as a representative of the liberal-radical faction.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program represents the University of Alabama in the sport of American football. The team competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The team is currently coached by Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide is among the most storied and decorated football programs in NCAA history. They finished season with eleven wins and one loss, as SEC champions and with a victory over Penn State in the Sugar Bowl.

William Christopher "Dabo" Swinney is an American football coach. He is the head coach at Clemson University. Swinney took over as head coach at Clemson midway through the 2008 season, following the resignation of Tommy Bowden. Swinney led the Tigers to national championships in 2016 and 2018.
