Westwood Mosque (also known as Oldham Muslim Centre) is a mosque located in Oldham, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. Plans to establish the centre began in 1990, when property was acquired on Chadderton Way, before moving to the Compass House in 2010. [2] [3]

The Halal Inn was an alcohol free inn and temperance bar in the United Kingdom. It was designed for Muslims. It is located in Oldham, Greater Manchester and opened in December 2007. It was owned by Azizur Rahman and Muzahid Khan. They bought and converted the Westwood Inn to the Halal Inn. The bar served soft drinks, fruit juice, non-alcoholic spritzers, tea, and coffee but no alcohol.

On 19 June 2017, an Islamophobic terrorist attack occurred in Finsbury Park, London, England, when a van was intentionally driven into a crowd of Muslim pedestrians near the Muslim Welfare House, 100 m from the Finsbury Park Mosque, resulting in the death of a man and 11 injuries. The attack was found to be motivated by Islamophobia.
