Widow's Bay is an upcoming Apple TV 10-episode series from creator Katie Dippold, with Hiro Murai as main director and starring Matthew Rhys. It is set to debut on April 29, 2026.

The ten-part series is created by Katie Dippold, who is an executive producer and showrunner. The series was ordered by Apple TV+ in September 2024. Hiro Murai is a director and an executive producer, alongside Claudia Shin and Carver Karaszewski. [4] It is from Apple Studios. In February 2025, Matthew Rhys joined the project as an executive producer and leads the cast as Mayor Tom Loftis. [5] Hiro Murai directed five episodes of the series. Ti West, Sam Donovan and Andrew DeYoung served as directors of remaining episodes, alongside Murai. [6]
Alongside Rhys, the cast includes Kate O'Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey. [6]
Filming took place in New England in 2025 with filming locations including Worcester, Massachusetts in May, and then in Essex and Gloucester in Massachusetts, and Rockport, Massachusetts in June 2025. [7] [8] [9]
