Premise

A sceptical mayor of a New England town refuses to bow to the superstitions of the residents who claim that the place is cursed. [1]

Production

The ten-part series is created by Katie Dippold, who is executive producer and showrunner. The series was ordered by Apple TV+ in September 2024. Hiro Murai is a director and a producer, as well as Claudia Shin and Carver Karaszewski. [2] It is from Apple Studios. In February 2025, Matthew Rhys joined the project as an executive producer and leads the cast as Mayor Tom Loftis. [3]

Filming took place in New England in 2025 with filming locations including Worcester, Massachusetts in May, and then in Essex and Gloucester in Massachusetts, and Rockport, Maine in June 2025. [4] [5] [6]
