A 6'3", 186-lb. cornerback from the University of Mississippi, Wilburn played in eight NFL seasons from 1985 to 1996 and in two CFL seasons for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the British Columbia Lions. He played in one final season in 1999 for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before retiring.

Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, known professionally as Future, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Wilburn first became involved in music as part of the Dungeon Family collective, where he was nicknamed "the Future". After amassing a series of mixtapes between 2010 and 2011, Future signed a major record label deal with Epic Records and Rocko's A1 Recordings, which helped launch Future's own label imprint, Freebandz. He subsequently released his debut album, Pluto, in April 2012 to positive reviews. Future's second album, Honest, was released in April 2014, surpassing his debut on the album charts.

He set a career scoring record at Central State University, lead his team to an NAIA championship, and then played in the NBA, the ABA, the EPBL, and the EBA. The EPBL and EBA both later became the Continental Basketball Association. Wilburn was a three-time EPBL/EBA champion with the Allentown Jets, and he won the EPBL Most Valuable Player award in 1968 when with the Trenton Colonials, and the EBA Most Valuable Player award when with the Allentown Jets in 1974.
