William H. Greene (born January 16, 1951) is an American economist. He was formerly the Robert Stansky Professor of Economics and Statistics at Stern School of Business at New York University. [1] Greene is currently a Visiting Professor of Economics at the University of South Florida. [2]

In 1972, Greene graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Ohio State University. He also earned a master's degree (1974) and a Ph.D. (1976) in econometrics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. [3]

Before accepting his position in NYU, Greene worked as a consultant for the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C. [1]

Greene is the author of a popular graduate-level econometrics textbook: Econometric Analysis, [4] [5] which has run to 8th edition as of 2017. He is the founding editor-in-chief of Foundations and Trends in Econometrics journal. [6]

Koichi Hamada is the Tuntex Professor Emeritus of Economics at Yale University, where he specializes in the Japanese economy and international economics. Hamada also serves as economic adviser to Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and is credited as one of the key architects of Abenomics, economic policies based upon "three arrows" of monetary easing, fiscal stimulus and structural reform. From January 2001 to July 2002, Hamada served as the first president of the Economic and Social Research Institute of the Cabinet Office of the Japanese Government. At one time Hamada was also a contender to head the WTO.

Charles Frederick Roos was an American economist who made contributions to mathematical economics. He was one of the founders of the Econometric Society together with American economist Irving Fisher and Norwegian economist Ragnar Frisch in 1930. He served as Secretary-Treasurer during the first year of the Society and was elected as President in 1948. He was director of research of the Cowles Commission from September 1934 to January 1937.

Robert A. Pollak is an economist. Pollak has made contributions to the specification and estimation of consumer demand systems, social choice theory, the theory of the cost of living index, and since the early 1980s, to the economics of the family and to demography. Petra Moser is an economist and economic historian serving as a Professor of Economics at the New York University Stern School of Business. Her work examines the origins of creativity and innovation. She is the recipient of a National Science Foundation CAREER Award.
