Winnie's Hole is an upcoming indie rogue-lite body horror video game based on the Winnie-the-Pooh franchise. It is in development by the Australian studio Twice Different [1] as a Steam exclusive.
A trailer for the game was released on June 7, 2023, evoking mixed response from critics. [1] [2] [3]
The game has the player as a virus infecting Winnie-the-Pooh, maneuvering throughout his body while collecting resources and capturing healthy cells, [2] transforming him into a monstrous entity. Now he begins to infect the rest of his friends while the disease grows more grotesque.
The game received initially mixed reactions upon announcement, with comparisons to the 2023 film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey , which had a similar horror take on the character. [2] Ashley Bardhan of Kotaku responded positively to the game's announcement, stating that, "I am genuinely looking forward to playing this". [1] Ed Nightingale of Eurogamer , on the other hand, called the game, "the most absurd idea for a video game I've ever seen", although admitted an interest in playing it. [3] In more neutral coverage, Arthur Damian of The Escapist expressed a desire to see a more "wholesome" take on the character after the game's release. The Last of Us is a 2013 action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Players control Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl, Ellie, across a post-apocalyptic United States. The Last of Us is played from a third-person perspective. Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) is a 2014 point-and-click survival horror game developed and published by Scott Cawthon. The player takes on the role of Mike Schmidt, a night security guard at a family pizzeria. Schmidt must complete his shifts without being confronted by the homicidal animatronic characters that wander the restaurant at night. The player has access to security cameras to monitor the animatronics throughout the shift, and a set of steel doors that can lock out the characters. Using the cameras and doors consumes the player's limited electricity, and draining all of the power causes these tools to become inoperable.

The Baker family consists of fictional characters featured in Capcom's Resident Evil video game series. First appearing in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, its main family members are a nuclear family consisting of married couple Jack and Marguerite and their two adult children, Lucas and Zoe. Inspired by characters from seminal films in horror cinema such as The Shining, The Evil Dead, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the Bakers reside within their bayou estate in the fictional parish of Dulvey, Louisiana in the United States. Within the game's narrative, they are under the influence of Eveline, a biologically engineered being who "adopted" herself into the Baker family, granting the family superhuman powers at the expense of twisting most of them into insane and murderous individuals prior to the events of Resident Evil 7, with the exception of Zoe who retains a benevolent personality. The 2017 Resident Evil 7: End of Zoe DLC features Joe Baker, a member from the extended family who is unaffected by Eveline, as its protagonist.

Puppet Combo is an American independent video game development studio founded by Benedetto "Ben" Cocuzza in 2012 as Pig Farmer Games and based in Brooklyn. Puppet Combo's games, such as Nun Massacre (2018) and the critically acclaimed Murder House (2020), are mostly survival horror games developed solely by Cocuzza and modeled after early PlayStation games and VHS. They are also frequently inspired by 1980s horror films, specifically grindhouse and slasher films. Puppet Combo primarily releases their games through Patreon and Itch.io. Cocuzza launched Torture Star Video, a video game publisher for lo-fi horror games, in 2021.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is a 2023 British independent slasher film edited, produced, written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. It serves as a horror reimagining to A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's Winnie-the-Pooh books and stars Craig David Dowsett as the titular character, and Chris Cordell as Piglet, with Amber Doig-Thorne, Nikolai Leon, Maria Taylor, Natasha Rose Mills, and Danielle Ronald in supporting roles. It follows Pooh and Piglet, who have become feral and bloodthirsty murderers, as they terrorise a group of young university women and Christopher Robin when he returns to the Hundred Acre Wood many years later after leaving for college.

The player controls a monster-hunting archivist with the goal of upgrading their train's defenses in order to fight and defeat the titular character, Charles, an evil spider-train hybrid monster that wanders the landscape looking for people to eat.
Sucker for Love: First Date is a parodic dating sim and horror-themed visual novel developed by indie developer Joseph "Akabaka" Hunter, and published by DreadXP. It was released on January 20, 2022, for Windows and December 19, 2022, for Nintendo Switch. The game revolves around a young man who obtains a pink version of the Necronomicon, and begins performing rituals to summon moe anthropomorphic beings from the Cthulhu Mythos, such as Ln'eta, a female version of Cthulhu, sacrificing his body parts and ultimately threatening the world with annihilation. The game received generally favorable reviews from critics, who praised its writing, voice acting and artwork, but criticized its short length, glitches, and low emphasis on romance for a dating sim. A sequel further exploring the Cthulhu Mythos, Sucker for Love: Date to Die For, was announced later in 2022.
Grimace's Birthday is a 2023 online browser video game developed by Krool Toys and published by McDonald's. Developed as a promotional release, the game is an action platformer developed using software to imitate a Game Boy Color title. While the game did not receive a physical release and is not a Nintendo-licensed Game Boy game, its files are compatible with Game Boy hardware. Grimace's Birthday was released to positive reception, with several critics directing attention to the unexpected theme and medium for a promotional game, and the strong likeness of the game's visual presentation to Game Boy titles.
Arcade Paradise is a business simulation video game developed by Nosebleed Interactive and published by Wired Productions.
