Won't Go Quietly received generally positive reviews up on its release. Robert Copsey of Digital Spy gave a positive review stating that "Won't Go Quietly is an entertaining and relentlessly catchy collection from an artist who could, on first glance, be accused of shamelessly following the latest chart trends". [1] BBC music also gave the album a positive review stating that it's "perfect contemporary chart material". [7]

Elliot John Gleave, better known by his stage name Example, is an English musician, singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. He released his debut studio album, What We Made, in 2007, followed by the mixtape, What We Almost Made, in 2008. Example first found success in 2010 with the release of his second studio album, Won't Go Quietly, which peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK Dance Chart. The album had two top 10 singles, "Won't Go Quietly" and "Kickstarts".

DNA is the debut studio album by British girl group Little Mix, released on 19 November 2012 through Syco Music and Columbia Records. The recording stages for the album took place between December 2011 and concluded in September 2012. Throughout the recording process, the group worked with several producers, with the album being largely co-written by them and other girl group members, Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud, Shaznay Lewis of All Saints and T-Boz of TLC. The group stated that they were involved in the development of the album as much as possible.

"Dancing with a Broken Heart" is a song by Australian singer–songwriter Delta Goodrem. It was sent to Australian radio on 26 July 2012 and was released physically and digitally on 10 August 2012. The song is the second single released from Goodrem's fourth studio album Child of the Universe, on which it appears slightly remixed. It debuted on the ARIA Charts at number 15, but only stayed in the top 50 for three weeks. It received mixed to positive reviews.
"Hooligans" is a song by Dutch producer Don Diablo and British musician Example. The single was released on 28 June 2009 through Data Records. The song was written by Don Diablo, who also produced it, and Example. It includes remixes by Noisia, A1 Bassline, Spor, Doorly and Don himself. It is the vocal version of Diablo's 2008 instrumental track "Hooligans Never Surrender", a single from his album Life Is a Festival. "Hooligans" marks one of Example's first moves away from the underground rap scene toward a more mainstream audience as it was his first major label release. Gleave signed to Data Records after the folding of The Streets' label The Beats. Although an independent single release, a VIP mix of the song, featuring additional production from DJ Wire's remix, was included in Example's second studio album, Won't Go Quietly.
