The World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB) was founded on September 9, 2004, in the city of Houston, Texas, in the United States of America, under the name of MPBM, Co. Authorization was requested for the use of the name World Confederation of Businesses as the DBA (trade name) of MPBM Co. [1] WORLDCOB has a governing body consisting of the chairman, vice chairman, and the board of directors, made up of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals of different nationalities, all with experience in the field of business consultancy and advisory. The main offices are set up in Houston and Lima, Peru. [2] [3] Founded by organization president Jesus Moran.

WORLDCOB is the awarding body of the Bizz Awards, founded in 2005. [5] The Bizz Awards ceremony was hosted in Houston in 2005, New York City in 2006, Punta Cana in 2007, Panama City in 2008, Cuzco, Peru in 2009, [6] Houston again in 2010, Rome in 2011, [7] and in the Bahamas in 2012, as well as in Dubai, Los Cabos and Paris in 2013, [8] Abu Dhabi, Hawaii, Venice in 2014, [9] [10] Muscat, Las Vegas, Athens in 2015, [11] Marrakesh, Washington D.C. and Monte Carlo in 2016, [9] [12] Dubai, St. Thomas and Bucharest in 2017, [13] Hong Kong, Miami Beach and Prague in 2018. [14] The award takes place in three different cities each year, one for the Europe, one for Americas, and the one for the region of Asia, Middle East and Africa. [12] [15] Until 2006, the award ceremony was accompanied by a business fair, where organization members presented their businesses. The fair was called the ExpoBizz business forum.

WORLDCOB-CSR

Since 2011 the organization has also been the certifying body for the WORLDCOB certification in corporate social responsibility WORLDCOB-CSR. [16] The certification lasts for a single year, and is determined after an audit of corporate documents by the organization. [17] The organization states that it has over 3000 members in over 130 countries. [16] The organization also launched a business-to-business online platform in 2009, where members contact each other and conduct various business transactions. [18] [19] [20] The congress also holds the CSR Workshop Tour. [21]

The organization has also developed WORLDCOB-CSR.2011.03 STANDARD CERTIFICATION, an International Standard which is validated by the British Standard Institute. [22] [23] [24]

In 2019, the organization announced launching of Worldcob Trust Seal (WTS). [25]

The Sultan Qaboos Cup, also known as the HM's Cup, is Oman's premier knockout tournament for men's football. It was officially created in 1972 and the champions of that edition were Al-Ahli. Shortly known as Oman cup. Currently the most successful club in the league is Dhofar with a total of ten titles to their name, with the latest win at the 2020-2021 season.

Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai is a satellite campus of Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, USA, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The college is located in the Dubai Silicon Oasis and started offering part-time graduate courses in Fall 2008. In 2009, the university began its full-time graduate program. RIT Dubai's first graduating class was in 2010, with the graduation ceremony taking place in Rochester, NY. In 2010, a full-time undergraduate program was started as part of the university's planned expansion. In the fall of 2011, RIT Dubai moved its campus to a new premises to accommodate the growing student body. Daijiworld Media is an Indian company, headquartered in Mangalore, that provides news services, including the web portal, www.daijiworld.com. It was founded by Walter Nandalike, as www.daijidubai.com on 14 January 2001, primarily with the objective of relaying news from the Coastal Konkan region of India. It was later renamed as www.daijiworld.com, and established as a media company in 2007.

Majid Al Futtaim is an Emirati holding company based in Dubai. As of 2015, it owned and operated shopping malls, retail, and leisure establishments in the Middle East and North Africa with operations in 13 countries including UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Pakistan, Iraq, Armenia, Iran, and Georgia. The group was established by Majid Al Futtaim in 1992 and manages three major operating subsidiaries: Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Majid Al Futtaim Retail, and Majid Al Futtaim Ventures.

Yusuff Ali Musaliam Veettil Abdul Kader, popularly known as M. A. Yusuff Ali is a UAE-based Indian businessman and billionaire. OOMCO is involved in the marketing and distribution of fuel and lubricant products and operates in the sectors of Fuel Retailing, Direct fuel sales to Government and the Commercial sector, Lubricants, Aviation Refueling and Storage and Distribution. The company has also begun to diversify and expand their business model into retail and customer services.

The 2015–16 Oman Professional League is the 40th edition of the top football league in Oman. The season began on 13 September 2015 and conclude on 14 April 2016. The start of the 2015–16 Professional League season which was scheduled for 19 August 2015 was later postponed to 13 September 2015 following requests from five of the 14 participating clubs. Al-Oruba SC are the defending champions, having won their fourth title in the previous 2014–15 Oman Professional League season. At the end of the 25th round, Oman Football Association announced that if the top two teams at the end of the last round end up with equal points, the two teams will play a home and away championship play-off on 28 April 2016 and 2 May 2016 at the respective home grounds.

The 2015–16 Oman Professional League Cup was the fifth edition of a domestic football competition held in Oman.

American Intercon School is a private general education school accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports with a Khmer-American curriculum from Preschool to Grade 12. It operates in six campuses in Phnom Penh, one campus in Siem Reap and one campus in Takeo, Cambodia.
