Wreckfest 2 is an upcoming racing video game developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. It is a sequel to Wreckfest , and is planned to be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Gameplay

Wreckfest 2 will feature improved physics with its enhanced engine, ROMU. [1] Like its precessdor, the game will provide various customization to vechicles. [2] In addition to the single-player and multiplayer modes, a local split-screen mode will be supported. [3]

Development and release

The game was announced in August 2024 as a sequel to the 2018 video game Wreckfest . [4] Bugbear Entertainment and THQ Nordic return to work on the game. [5] It is set to be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. [6]

Wreckfest is described as the spiritual successor to the FlatOut series and a cross between FlatOut, Destruction Derby and cult 1989 PC racer Street Rod. The series gameplay revolves around stealth with players having the option to take out enemies one by one or going in guns blazing, either by controlling John or numerous other player characters that help John along the way.
