Wyoming Historic District is a national historic district located at Wyoming, Kent County, Delaware. It encompasses 310 contributing buildings and 10 contributing structures in the town of Wyoming. It mainly consists of residential and commercial buildings developed after the arrival of the Delaware Railroad in 1855. Significant development occurred from the 1870s to 1941 and include examples of the Classical Revival, Bungalow/craftsman, and Queen Anne styles. Notable buildings include the town hall, the former W. M. Harris & Son Vinegar & Canning Factory, Wyoming mill complex, the Wyoming United Methodist Church, First National Bank of Wyoming, and the main building of the former Wyoming Institute. The Wyoming Railroad Station is located in the district and listed separately. [2]

The district contains five contributing buildings and one contributing structure. It was developed between about 1876 and 1946 and includes the Ulster and Delaware Railroad Depot, Robinson and Preston Steam Flour and Feed Mill, Slawson-Decker-Sheffield Co Creamery, Ulster and Delaware Railroad Ice House, and George M. Orr Blacksmith Shop.
Hanford Mills Museum, also known as Kelso Mill, is a historic grist mill and sawmill and national historic district located at East Meredith, New York in Delaware County, New York. The district contains nine contributing buildings and three contributing structures. The complex includes both natural and structural facilities. It includes a mill race from Kortright Creek to the damned up Mill Pond which supplies the waterwheel, a spillway for the pond's overflow, a section of old New York Central Railroad track, two railroad bridges crossing Kortright Creek, and a variety of buildings. The main structure is a mill building dating to the 1820s with additions from the 1870s, 1880s, and 1890s. The four story wood frame structure is approximately 150 feet long and 120 feet high. Also on the property is a one-story depot building with grain elevator and storage facilities. It is now operated as a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
The Newcastle Commercial District in Newcastle, Wyoming comprises the commercial center of this isolated Wyoming town. The town developed along the Burlington and Missouri Railroad in the late 1880s, with the commercial district taking shape between 1890 and 1952. The district includes twenty-three buildings, primarily commercial buildings, including two properties that are separately listed on the National Register of Historic Places: the Weston County Courthouse and the Newcastle Main Post Office. All of the buildings are considered "contributing properties" to the historic district.
Seaford Station Complex is a historic railway station complex and national historic district located at Seaford, Sussex County, Delaware. It includes two contributing buildings and two contributing structures and considered an outstanding example of a turn-of-the-20th century, unaltered, small-town railroad complex in Delaware. They are the Seaford Railroad Station, Seaford Freight Station, the Nanticoke River moveable railroad bridge, and mainline railroad tracks. The Seaford Railroad Station is brick rectangular building with a large bracketed overhang, built about 1905. The Seaford Freight Station was built about the same time, and consists of an open porch, covered by an arcaded extension of the roof, with an office and store room. The Nanticoke River moveable railroad bridge is an iron through-truss structure carrying a single track. It was built about 1890 by the Pencoyd Bridge and Construction Company of Pencoyd, Pennsylvania. The main line track north of the depot was double-tracked just before World War I.
Wyoming is a historic railway station located at Wyoming, Kent County, Delaware. It was built by the Delaware Railroad in 1872, and is a one-story, five bay, brick, Italianate-style building. It has a low hipped roof with shallow eaves, round-headed doorways and windows, and a projecting bow-front window. The station has been renovated for use as town offices.

They are primarily residential buildings, with some commercial and institutional buildings including notable examples of the Greek Revival and Italianate styles. Notable buildings include the Delaware City Hotel (1828), Central Hotel, Christ Episcopal Church (1849) and Rectory (1870), Van Hekle House (1828), Delaware City Academy (1858), Delaware City Public School (1883), Dunlap/Worrell House, and First Presbyterian Church.
Townsend Historic District is a national historic district located at Townsend, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 216 contributing buildings and 5 contributing structures in the crossroads and railroad village of Townsend. It includes a mix of commercial and residential buildings primarily dating to the late-19th century and early-20th century. Notable buildings include the Immanuel M. E. Church and Parsonage, Lattamus store (1851), Dr. Niles house, Maloney Store, Townsend-Dickenson Hotel/Harmon's Drug Store, Evan's Store, Hart's Grain, Seed and Coal Store, S. Townsend house, Winfield Cottage, school (1932), and the former St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
Exchange Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Attica in Wyoming County, New York. The district encompasses 12 contributing buildings along two blocks in the village of Attica. They are two- and three-story, brick and frame commercial buildings built after the fire of 1877. The buildings provided service and hospitality for rail passengers and for cultural and social events for Attica's citizens. They include the Williams Opera House (1879), Wyoming House (1878), Hotel Liberty or Attica Hotel, The Railroad Store, Erie House (1880), Spann Block (1874), Western Hotel (1832), and Erie Depot (1879).
The State Center Commercial Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in State Center, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. At the time of its nomination it contained 36 resources, which included 31 contributing buildings, two contributing structures, and three non-contributing buildings. The historic district covers the town's central business district. State Center is located at the highest point in Marshall County, midway between Marshalltown and Nevada. The town was established by the Cedar Rapids & Missouri Railroad on 80 acres (32 ha) of land in 1863. It was initially named "Centre Station," but William Barnes, the first railroad agent, changed the town's name to "State Centre."
The Newton Downtown Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Newton, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. At the time of its nomination it contained 85 resources, which included 60 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and 24 non-contributing buildings. Jasper County was established by the Iowa Territorial Legislature in 1846, and Newton was incorporated the following year as the county seat. The town grew slowly at first around the Jasper County Courthouse. Businesses largely served the needs of the local farmers as well as the town's residents. The Mississippi and Missouri Railroad, later the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad, came to Newton in 1867. This changed the town's economy from agricultural-based to manufacturing, and the central business district expanded outward as the community grew. Several washing machine companies established themselves in Newton, most notably Maytag. The emergence of Maytag as a major corporation in the mid-20th century led to the transformation of the downtown area. Between 1951 and 1952, 18 businesses installed new storefronts, transforming them from their original Victorian appearance to a more modern appearance. The modernization continued into the 1960s.
The Belle Plaine Main Street Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Belle Plaine, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. At the time of its nomination it contained 63 resources, which included 46 contributing buildings, one contributing structure, and 16 non-contributing buildings. The historic district covers most of the city's central business district. Belle Plaine was laid out in 1862 as a railroad town. The Chicago & North Western Railroad was extended from Cedar Rapids the following year. The commercial district is adjacent to the tracks. A major fire destroyed much of the business district in 1894. Thirty-five buildings in the district were built in the months after the fire.
The Mason City Downtown Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Mason City, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. At the time of its nomination it contained 93 resources, which included 63 contributing buildings, one contributing site, four objects, 22 non-contributing buildings, and three non-contributing objects. Platted in 1855, Mason City is a commercial and industrial center for north central Iowa. It was also a railroad center, but the tracks bypassed the central business district in order to serve the industries located on the north side of town and the wholesale enterprises on the south side. Central Park, a public square, was part of the city's original plat and is the contributing site.

The Colfax Spring City Commercial Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Colfax, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. At the time of its nomination it contained 48 resources, which included 28 contributing buildings, two contributing sites, two contributing structures, 12 non-contributing buildings, and four non-contributing structures. Colfax was platted in 1866 or 1867 as a railroad and farm-to-market town along the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. Coal mines were also located to the south of town. Mineral water was discovered in the area in 1875, which led to the development of the mineral water-based health industry in Colfax. The historic district represents the growth during this time period. After the health-related mineral water industry declined, Colfax expanded its farm-to-market economy in the late inter-war and post-World War II years.
