Ysgol Llanhari is a Welsh-medium school for 3-19 year olds situated in the village of Llanharry, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales.
The media in Wales provide services in both English and Welsh, and play a role in modern Welsh culture. Rownd a Rownd is a Welsh soap opera created by Rondo Media and shown on S4C since 11 September 1995. It was claimed to be the first Celtic-related language soap specifically directed at a youth audience. It is set in the fictional harbour town of Glanrafon in Anglesey.
Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni is a bilingual community comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 to 18 years old located in Llangefni, Anglesey. Pupils come from the town of Llangefni and the surrounding villages and rural areas. The school opened in 1953 and currently has 686 students on roll.
Y Cymro is a Welsh-language newspaper, which was first published in 1932. It was founded in Wrexham, and succeeded other newspapers of the same name that had existed during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is Wales's only national newspaper in Welsh and was previously published weekly. In 2017, the owners and publishers, Tindle Newspapers Group, announced that they would stop publication and that they were looking for new owners to publish the paper. In March 2018, after negotiations between the two companies, its new owners Cyfryngau Cymru Cyf. started publishing Y Cymro as a monthly newspaper. The new company also set up a new Y Cymro website.
Menter Iaith is a community-based organisation which works to raise the profile of the Welsh language in a specific area. Each local Menter Iaith receives a basic grant from the Welsh Language Board, as well as financial support from a number of other sources, to work with individuals, organisations, and local business to promote the use of Welsh in its area.
Ysgol Gyfun Gymunedol Penweddig is a Welsh-language, community comprehensive school situated in Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth, Wales. The school was established in 1973. The school was the first Welsh language secondary school in Ceredigion and is named after the cantref of Penweddig, the northern part of the Kingdom of Ceredigion, between the rivers Dyfi and Ystwyth.
Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni is a Welsh-medium school situated in the village of Fleur-de-Lys in the Rhymney Valley. Cwm Rhymni was founded in 1981 with just over 150 pupils and has since grown to 1,684 pupils with 1,164 at the Gellihaf campus and 520 at Y Gwyndy.

A papur bro is a Welsh-language local community newsletter, produced by volunteers and generally published monthly. The first such publication was Y Dinesydd, established in Cardiff in April 1973. There are currently 58 papurau bro, produced throughout Wales. With changing times and appetites, more modern, online versions of papurau bro have started to appear such as: Pobl Caerdydd (Cardiff), Pobl Aberystwyth, Pobl y Fro and Pobl Dinefwr.

Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera Bro Dur is a Welsh-medium comprehensive school in Neath Port Talbot, Wales. The school provides education to three to eighteen-year-old pupils in Neath Port Talbot and south Powys from three campuses in Ystalyfera and Port Talbot.
Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Edern is an 11–18 mixed, Welsh-medium, community secondary school and sixth form in Penylan, Cardiff, Wales. The name 'Bro Edern' refers to Saint Edern who is commemorated in the name Llanedeyrn. Of the three Welsh-medium secondary schools serving Cardiff, it is the newest.
Hannah Daniel is a Welsh actress from Cardiff, Wales, best known for her roles on TV series Hinterland, Keeping Faith and Holby City.
Steffan Lewis was a Welsh politician, who was elected to the National Assembly for Wales in the 2016 election. He represented the electoral region of South Wales East, as a member of Plaid Cymru.
The Y Selar Awards are awarded annually for the best Welsh language rock and pop music, by the Welsh language music magazine, Y Selar. The awards ceremony is the only one particularly for Welsh language music.
