Zarghan (Persian : زرقان‎, also Romanized as Zarghan and Zaraqān; also known as Zirghān)^[1] is a village in Joghatai Rural District, in the Central District of Joghatai County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,964, in 563 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Joghatai Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Joghatai County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,374, in 2,605 families. The rural district has 22 villages.

The Central District of Joghatai County is a district (bakhsh) in Joghatai County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 21,874, in 5,631 families. The District has one city: Joghatai. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Dasturan Rural District and Joghatai Rural District.
