The Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Overall Contributions is an award given every year by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi (Kerala Literary Academy) to Malayalam writers for their overall contributions to Malayalam literature. It is one of the twelve categories of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award. [1] [2] [3]

Sippy Pallippuram is an Indian writer of children's literature in Malayalam who has won several awards including Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award and Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award. His novel about the memories of Kunjunni Mash Oridathoru Kunjunni won the national award for children's literature by Kendra Sahitya Akademi. His book Unnikalkku Noottiyettu Gurudeva Kathakal received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Children's Literature in 2013. A teacher by profession, he has over 80 poetries and stories to his credit in the children's category of Malayalam literature. Sippy has been into children's literature for more than four decades.

C. V. Balakrishnan is an Indian writer of Malayalam literature. His novels and short stories encompass the emotional issues related to mass culture, sexual politics, fate of the marginalised and institutionalised religions. An author of more than 60 literary works along with a few film scripts and film criticisms, his best known work is the novel Ayussinte Pusthakam. He received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award thrice and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Book on Cinema in 2002 for Cinemayude Idangal. In 2014, he won the Padmaprabha Literary Award.

The 2012 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award was announced on 11 July 2013. The Akademi fellowships and the awards for overall contribution were announced in October 2013.

Aymanam John is a Malayalam–language short-story writer. He hails from Aymanam, a small village in Kerala's Kottayam district which was made famous by Arundhati Roy through her 1997 novel The God of Small Things.

The 2017 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award was announced on 23 January 2019. The award is given each year, since 1958, by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, to Malayalam writers for their outstanding books of literary merit.

Kerala Sahitya Akademi Fellowship is an honour of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, given to writers of Malayalam literature by inducting them as the distinguished members of the Akademi.

Rafeeq Mangalassery is a Malayalam-language script writer and director from Chettippadi in India. His drama Annaperuna depicts wastage of food while many others go hungry. He also directed Kottem Kareem.

The 2022 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Awards was announced on 30 June 2023. The award is given each year, since 1958, by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, to Malayalam writers for their outstanding books of literary merit.
