Rangoli Metro Art Center was developed by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL), after the construction work of the MG Road metro station, Bangalore was completed. It was inaugurated on 6 May 2013. [1]
BMRCL redesigned the walkway with bougainvillea, as was available for the public before the construction of the metro rail station. The center includes art galleries, auditorium, play area for kids, and a walkway.
In May 2017, a tribute to artist Yusuf Arakkal was showcased. [2]
On 1 May 2022, the Embassy of France organised Bonjour India's City for All? aimed at making public spaces in Indian cities more accessible to women and transgender people by engaging the masses in public art projects. [3] [4]
Namma Metro, also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. It is the second longest operational metro network in India after Delhi Metro. Upon its inauguration, it became the first underground metro system in South India. Namma Metro has a mix of underground, at grade, and elevated stations. Out of the operational 64 metro stations of Namma Metro as of March 2023, there are 55 elevated stations, 8 underground stations and 1 at-grade station. The system runs on standard-gauge tracks.
Green Line of Namma Metro was built along with the Purple Line during the first phase of construction of the metro rail system for the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The 30.5 km (19.0 mi) line connects Nagasandra in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south. Mahatma Gandhi Road, commonly referred to by the abbreviation MG Road, is a station on the Purple Line of the Namma Metro in Bangalore, India. It was constructed by Punj Lloyd and opened to the public on 20 October 2011. The station MG Road has a bicycle stand next to the Urban Square, from where commuters can rent cycles. This metro station will serve as Namma Metro's 2nd interchange station after Majestic metro station for the upcoming Pink Line.

It opened to the public on 30 April 2016 as part of Namma Metro's Phase-1. Majestic serves as the interchange station allowing passengers to transfer between Purple Line and Green Line. The station is located within walking distance from BMTC & KSRTC's Kempegowda Bus Station, as also the City's Main Railway station.
Sampige Road, officially named Mantri Square Sampige Road, is a metro station on the Green Line of the Namma Metro serving the Malleswaram area of Bangalore, India. It was opened to the public on 1 March 2014. The station was constructed by Mantri Developers and consists of two basements, one ground and one upper floor. The station was named Mantri Square Sampige Road due to a PPP agreement between the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) and Mantri. Mantri Square is a shopping mall located near the station.
The Yellow Line of Namma Metro is under construction and will form part of the metro rail network for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The 18.82 km (11.69 mi) line connects R.V. Road with Bommasandra and is fully elevated with 16 stations. R.V. Road station is the terminal station on city side where an interchange is being provided with the Green Line. Jayadeva Hospital station will, in future serve as another interchange station with the Pink Line that is also under construction in Phase ll of Namma Metro's expansion. Silkboard station will be another interchange station between Yellow Line and Blue Line. The other end of Yellow Line was initially planned to terminate at Bommasandra but on 9 June 2022, the Karnataka government gave approval for the extension of this line from Bommasandra to Hosur in Tamil Nadu.
The Blue Line or ORR-Airport Metro Line is part of the Namma Metro rail network for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It consists of two sections - Phase-2A and Phase-2B. Construction of Phase-2A began in August-2021. Construction of Phase-2B is expected to begin in February-2022. The 58.19 km line connects Central Silk Board with the Kempegowda International Airport. The Line is mostly elevated but also has an at-grade (surface) section close to the Airport and 2 short underground sections where it passes the Jakkur Aerodrome and Yelahanka AFB. There are 30 stations on the line of which the two station/s at the Airport may be at surface level or underground. Blue Line will have interchanges with the Yellow Line at Central Silk Board, Purple Line at KR Pura, Pink Line at Nagawara and with the future /proposed Orange Line at Hebbal.

This will be an upcoming interchange metro station after Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Stn., Majestic having interchange with Purple and Green Lines. Around this station, holds the main KR Pura Railway station followed by some locations like KR Puram Hanging Bridge leading towards Hoskote, Tin Factory, ITI General Hospital and many more. This station under Blue Line is planned to be operational around the year 2024 (TBC).
