11 bit studios S.A. is a Polish video game developer and publisher based in Warsaw. The studio was founded in 2010 by former members of CD Projekt and Metropolis Software. The studio is most known for developing Anomaly: Warzone Earth (2011), This War of Mine (2014), Frostpunk (2018) and Frostpunk 2 (2024).
The company was officially formed on 11 September 2010, founded by CD Projekt and Metropolis Software developers and staff members. [2] [3] Currently, they employ approximately 250 people. The company's goal is to create games suitable for both hardcore gamers as well as casual gamers. [2] They are well known for developing Anomaly: Warzone Earth , a real-time strategy reversed tower defense, [4] and This War of Mine , which was often praised by critics for its depiction of civilians in a city under a siege similar to the Siege of Sarajevo. [5]
The studio's 2018 release, Frostpunk , sold over 250,000 copies in its first three days. Frostpunk depicts a dystopian/late 19th century England that has been overtaken by the frost, and the player is tasked with managing humanity's last city. [6] In 2020, it was revealed that the company was investing $21 million to fund the development of three projects and four games signed to its publishing labels. One of them, Frostpunk 2 , was announced on August 12, 2021 [7] and released on September 20, 2024.

Founded in May 1990 by brothers Brian and Steve Raffel, the company is most known for the dark fantasy franchise Heretic/Hexen, the first two Soldier of Fortune games, as well as licensed titles based in the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series and Marvel Comics's X-Men characters, including 2006's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Rockstar New England, Inc. is an American video game developer and a studio of Rockstar Games based in Andover, Massachusetts. Ian Lane Davis founded the company as Mad Doc Software in November 1999 after working as a technical director for Activision. The studio worked with Activision on Star Trek: Armada before leading the development of its sequel, Star Trek: Armada II. Starting in 2002, Mad Doc was the principal developer of the Empire Earth series, developing two games and two expansions. While the successful Empire Earth II landed the company publishing contracts with Rockstar Games and Bethesda Softworks, Empire Earth III was a critical and commercial failure and led to the end of the series. Mad Doc developed Star Trek: Legacy for Bethesda Softworks and Bully: Scholarship Edition for Rockstar Games. After the latter was released in March 2008, Rockstar Games's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, bought Mad Doc and integrated it with Rockstar Games as Rockstar New England. Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing game developed by the Polish studio CD Projekt Red, and published by CD Projekt, and based on Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk tabletop game series. The plot is set in the fictional metropolis of Night City, California, within the dystopian Cyberpunk universe. The player assumes the role of V, a mercenary who accidentally gets imbued with a cybernetic "bio-chip" containing an engram of legendary rockstar and terrorist Johnny Silverhand. As Johnny's behaviour and memories begin overwriting V's own, the two must work together to separate from each other and save V's life.

Characters have to make many difficult decisions in order to survive everyday dangers. There are various endings for each character, depending on the decisions made in the game. The game has received multiple DLCs and sold over 9 million units worldwide across multiple platforms.

Players take on the role of a leader in an alternate history late 19th century, in which they must build and maintain a city during a worldwide volcanic winter, managing resources, making choices on how to survive, and exploring the area outside their city for survivors, resources, or other useful items. The game features several scenarios to undertake, each with their own stories and different challenges. The main campaign adopts a three-act structure, requiring players to grapple with internal conflict and societal turmoil in a divided city, and surviving a great storm that threatens to overwhelm the city, making sacrifices and morally-grey ethical decisions along the way.
