Kerteminde, is a town in central Denmark, located in Kerteminde Municipality on the island of Funen. The town has a population of 6,034. It is a small harbor town surrounded by farms. Kerteminde contains a fish restaurant, Rudolf Mathis, the Viking museum Ladby, and the research and exhibition institution for fish and porpoises Fjord & Bælt.
Hendrick Krock was a Danish history painter who, from 1706, was the court painter of Frederick IV as well as his successor Christian VI. Along with Benoit Le Coffre set the tone for history painting in Denmark during the 18th century-1720s, having been influenced by the Italian baroque painting he experienced during his travels. He also played a role in the eventual establishment of an Art Academy in Denmark.

Arent Nicolai Dragsted was a Danish goldsmith based in Copenhagen who was granted the predicate Purveyor to the Court of Denmark shortly before his death. His company, A. Dragsted, still exists today. Dragsted created the golden horn that was presented to Bernhard Severin Ingemann by Danish women on the occasion of his 75 years birthday. The horn is now on display in the Danish Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød. He has also created the golden wreath for Frederick VIIøs sarcofague in Roskilde Cathedral.
Nicolai Dajon was a Danish sculptor. He served as director of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1818 to 1821.
