Nicole & Hugo are a singing duet from Belgium.
The Eurovision Song Contest 1971 was the 16th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Dublin, Ireland, following Dana's win at the 1970 contest in Amsterdam, Netherlands with the song "All Kinds of Everything". It was the first time Ireland hosted the event. The contest was held at the Gaiety Theatre on Saturday 3 April 1971, and was hosted by Bernadette Ní Ghallchóir.
"Goeiemorgen, morgen" was the Belgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, performed in Dutch by Jacques Raymond and Lily Castel.

Belgium entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 with Vanessa Chinitor and "Like The Wind". The song was selected to represent Belgium at the contest by winning the Belgium national final Eurosong '99.
Jacques Raymond is a Belgian singer.
Belgium was represented by Nicole & Hugo, with the song '"Baby, Baby", at the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Luxembourg City on 7 April. "Baby, Baby" was the winner of the Belgian national final for the contest, held at the Amerikaans Theater in Brussels on 25 February. Nicole & Hugo had won the 1971 Belgian preselection with the song "Goeiemorgen, morgen", but days before the contest Nicole had fallen ill and was unable to travel to host city Dublin, so Jacques Raymond and Lily Castel had been drafted in as last-minute replacements.
Belgium was represented by Jacques Raymond and Lily Castel, with the song '"Goeiemorgen, morgen", at the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 3 April in Dublin. Raymond and Castel had not taken part in the original Belgian final, which was won with Nicole & Hugo performing the song. Shortly before the Dublin final however, Nicole had fallen ill and was unable to travel, so broadcaster BRT [Belgische Radio- en Televisieomroep], predecessor of VRT, drafted in Raymond and Castel as late replacements. Raymond had previously sung for Belgium at Eurovision in 1963. Future Belgian representatives Ann Christy (1975) and Micha Marah (1979) took part in the 1971 preselection. Nicole & Hugo would represent Belgium in 1973.
Belgium was represented by Claude Lombard, with the song '"Quand tu reviendras", at the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 6 April in London. The song was chosen at the Belgian preselection, held on 13 February. Former Belgian representative Tonia (1966) and future participant Nicole Josy also took part.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Belgian entry was selected through a combination of an internal selection, to select the artist, and a national final, to select the song, both organised by the Belgian broadcaster VRT. Iris represented Belgium with the song "Would You?", which failed to qualify from the first semi-final, achieving 17th place with 16 points.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their entry was selected through the national final Eurosong 2014, organised by the Belgian broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). Axel Hirsoux performed the Belgian entry "Mother" written by Rafael Artesero and Ashley Hicklin. The song failed to qualify from the first semi-final, placing 14th and scoring 28 points.

Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "What's the Pressure" written by Sanne Putseys, Louis Favre, Birsen Uçar and Yannick Werther. The song was performed by Laura Tesoro. The Belgian entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden was selected through the national final Eurosong 2016, organised by the Flemish broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). The competition featured five competing acts and consisted of two presentation shows and a final. In the final on 17 January 2016, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting: the first selected the top two via the votes of ten international jury groups and a public televote, while the second selected the winner solely by public televoting. "What's the Pressure" performed by Laura Tesoro was the winner after placing first during both rounds of voting.

Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "City Lights", written by Pierre Dumoulin and Ellie Delvaux (Blanche). The song was performed by Blanche, who was selected by the Belgian broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) on 22 November 2016 to represent the nation at the 2017 contest in Kiev, Ukraine. "City Lights" was internally selected as the song Blanche would perform at Eurovision and later premiered on 8 March 2017.
Germany participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Perfect Life", performed by Levina and written by Lindsey Ray, Lindy Robbins and Dave Bassett. The German entry was selected through the national final Unser Song 2017, organised by the German broadcaster ARD in collaboration with Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR).
