1990 The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team represented The Citadel in the 1990 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bulldogs played their home games in College Park. The team was coached by Chal Port, in his 26th season at The Citadel.
The Bulldogs won their first Southern Conference baseball tournament, hosted in their home park. They then went on to win the Atlantic Regional of the 1990 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, earning a berth in the 1990 College World Series. During the regular season, The Citadel won 26 consecutive games, the longest of any team in the 1990 season. [3] The Bulldogs were ranked #6 in the final Collegiate Baseball poll.
Three players from the team would go on to serve as head coaches at the Division I level. Dan McDonnell became head coach at Louisville in 2007, Chris Lemonis became head coach at Indiana in 2015, and Tony Skole served as head coach at East Tennessee State from 2000 to 2017 before taking over at The Citadel in 2018.

Ed Conroy is in his second stint as the head coach, having previously held the position from 2006–2010.

Chalmers "Chal" Port was an American college baseball coach at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Most famous for leading Bulldogs to the 1990 College World Series, Port coached for 27 seasons garnering a 641–386–2 record. His win total was only surpassed in 2010 by successor Fred Jordan, who played for Port.
The 2013 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team represents Mississippi State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The team is coached by John Cohen, in his 14th year as a collegiate head coach, and his 5th at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs play their home games at Dudy Noble Field, and compete in the Southeastern Conference's West Division.

The 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began in February 2015. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2015 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 24, 2015, with the final game of the best-of-three championship series between Vanderbilt and Virginia, won by Virginia.
