Washington Rugby Football Club (WRFC) is a USA Rugby club men's Division I rugby union team based in Washington, DC. Washington RFC formed in February, 1963. The team founded the annual Cherry Blossom tournament in 1966. WRFC plays in the Mid-Atlantic Conference in the Capital Geographical Union. WRFC won its first 2021 Capital Region Champion and its first debut in the Mid-Atlantic Conference for Division II. In 2022, WRFC moved from Division II to Division I Rugby.

The Samoa national rugby sevens team, referred to as Samoa Sevens or Manu Samoa 7s, competes in the annual World Rugby Sevens Series. Representing the polynesian country of Samoa, with a population of about 202,000, the team competes against some of the wealthiest countries in the world. The Samoa sevens team is overseen by the Samoa Rugby Football Union, which oversees all of rugby union in Samoa.

Tony Clement is a former Welsh international rugby union player. He played as a fullback and was awarded 37 caps for Wales, scoring 7 tries and a drop goal. He played at the 1991 Rugby World Cup finals and at the 1995 Rugby World Cup finals. Tony represented the British & Irish lions in 1989, touring to Australia. In 1993 he toured New Zealand with the British Lions, scoring £ tries and a drop goal for the Lions. At the time played club rugby for Swansea RFC.

Jason Strange is a former Welsh rugby union player and now coach. An outside half, he was a prolific goal-kicker. Strange played his club rugby for a number of clubs in Wales including Pontypridd RFC, Ebbw Vale RFC, Newport RFC before joining Bristol RFC and Leeds Carnegie where he signed a 2-year contract to take him to the end of 2010. He was called up to Wales' squad for the 2000 Six Nations Championship and was on the bench against Scotland, however he was ultimately not capped at that level.

Johnathan Edwards is a Welsh rugby union footballer. He currently plays his club rugby as a flanker for the Cardiff Rugby Club. In 2007, Edwards was selected as captain of the Wales Sevens squad.

The 2021–22 season was Ulster Rugby's 28th season since the advent of professionalism in rugby union, and Dan McFarland's fourth season as head coach. They competed in the inaugural United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup.
