Thomas Börje Forsberg, better known by the stage name Quorthon, was a Swedish musician. He was one of the founders, as well as the sole songwriter, of the band Bathory, which pioneered the black metal genre and is credited with creating the Viking metal style. A multi-instrumentalist, Quorthon wrote the music and lyrics on all of Bathory's albums and performed vocals and guitars.

Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 12 and 13 September 1965. The Labour Party remained the largest party, winning 68 of the 150 seats. However, the four non-socialist parties succeeded in winning a majority between them and forming a government. Per Borten, the leader of the Centre Party, became prime minister.

Anita Skorgan is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1977 (14th), 1979 (11th) and with Jan Teigen in 1982 (12th). She was also a backing singer at the 1981 and 1983 contests, and co-wrote the 1988 Norwegian Eurovision entry "For vår jord", which placed fifth.

Petronella Barker is a British-born Norwegian actress. She was born in Colchester, England, but grew up in Fredrikstad, Norway. While still studying at the Theatre Academy in Oslo (1985–1988), she had her debut in the Soviet-Norwegian co-production Dragens fange. Her breakthrough as a movie actress came with the dystopic Sweetwater (1988), followed by Havet stiger.

The Holmenkollen Medal is an annual honorary skiing award that has been issued by the Skiforeningen in Norway since 1895. It recognizes the outstanding achievements of skiing athletes who place at the top of international championships and at Holmenkollen Ski Festival events, as well as those who contribute to advancement of the sport of skiing. The Holmenkollen Medal is considered Norwegian skiing highest honor.

Knut Nærum is a Norwegian comedian, author, comics writer and TV entertainer. He is best known for being one of the permanent panelists in the Norwegian show Nytt på nytt. On 23 April 2015, Nærum announced that he would step down from the show at the end of the season. Nærum was born in Arendal, but grew up in Halden, and attended high school in Grimstad. He later studied at the Agder Regional College and currently lives in Oslo with his wife and two children.

TV3+ Norway is a television channel broadcasting to Norway owned by the Viaplay Group. The channel was launched on 8. September 2007 replacing ZTV Norway on cable, satellite and terrestrial in preparation for the launch of the digital terrestrial television network in Norway which launched in 2009 and after ZTV was declining in viewers. Viasat 4 took over all of TV3 football segments which have been broadcast there since 1988

Marie Ragnhild Takvam was a Norwegian poet, novelist, writer of children's books, playwright and actress.

Øyvind Kvernvold Myhre is a Norwegian author of science fiction and fantasy literature. He has written more than twenty novels and short stories. from 1975-1977 he was author and editor of the Norwegian science fiction magazine NOVA. He also published a fanzine called GANDALF.

Petter Andre Pilgaard is a Norwegian television celebrity who gained national fame during the first season of the Norwegian version of Paradise Hotel. He won the competition together with Benedicte Valen, and the two shared the NOK 300,000 prize money.

Maaemo is a three-Michelin-star restaurant in Oslo, Norway. The name Maaemo derives from the Finnish language, meaning "Mother earth". The restaurant works in the New Nordic Cuisine genre, and focuses on local food and only uses organic, biodynamic, or wild produce. Head chef is Danish Esben Holmboe Bang.

Odd Einar Nordheim is a Norwegian musician and singer. He won the music talent competition Stjerner i sikte in 1996. He has released two albums under the name "OdD", Mind Your Head in 2001 and Not All Birds Fly with Ease in 2005. He was nominated for best pop solo performer under Spellemannprisen 2001.
