An election to Dublin City Council took place on 10 June 1999 as part of that year's Irish local elections. 52 councillors were elected from thirteen local electoral areas on the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote (PR-STV) for a five-year term of office.

The Calgary City Council is the legislative governing body that represents the citizens of Calgary. The council consists of 15 members: the chief elected official, titled the mayor, and 14 councillors. Jyoti Gondek was elected mayor in October 2021 as the city's 37th. Each of the 14 councillors represent one of the city's 14 wards.

The Workers' Left Front – Unity is an alliance of initially three Trotskyist parties in Argentina formed to fight a number of elections in 2011, announced at a press conference in April that year. They are the Workers' Party (PO), the United Socialist Workers' Party (PSTU), the Socialist Workers' Party (PTS), and Socialist Left (IS). In 2019, the Workers' Socialist Movement (MST) joined the alliance.
The 2013 United Kingdom local elections took place on Thursday 2 May 2013. Elections were held in 35 English councils: all 27 non-metropolitan county councils and eight unitary authorities, and in one Welsh unitary authority. Direct mayoral elections took place in Doncaster and North Tyneside. These elections last took place on the 4 June 2009 at the same time as the 2009 European Parliament Elections, except for County Durham, Northumberland and the Anglesey where elections last took place in 2008.
Local elections were held in Manila on May 13, 2013, within the Philippine general election. The voters elected for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, the six congressmen, and the councilors, six in each of the city's six legislative districts.

An election to Kerry County Council took place on 23 May 2014 as part of that year's Irish local elections. 33 councillors were elected from four local electoral areas (LEAs) by PR-STV voting for a five-year term of office. This is a reduction of LEA and an increase in 6 seats compared to 2009. In addition Killarney Town Council, Listowel Town Council and Tralee Town Council were all abolished.
