Siklab Sports Youth Awards· 2019 

The 1st Siklab (Spark) Sports Youth Awards, or the 1st Phoenix Siklab Sports Youth Awards, for sponsorship reasons, is an awarding ceremony bestowed upon young Philippine sports personalities aged 17 and below who are excelled in different local and international sports competitions. [1] [2] The Siklab Sports Youth Awards is organized by the PSC–POC Media Group, an organization composed of esteemed sportswriters, both print and online who are covering the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), the National Sports Associations (NSAs), and the National Athletes and Teams beat assignments, and it is headed by June V. Navarro of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. [3]

The inaugural edition of the yearly event was originally scheduled for April 2018, [1] but it was later moved to June 27, 2018, set to be held at the Century Park Hotel Grand Ballroom, Malate, Manila. [3] [4]

The award was given to Olympic silver medalists Mansueto Velasco and Hidilyn Diaz who serves as an inspiration to young Filipino sportsmen. [2]

POC Super Kids Award

The POC Super Kids Award were given to outstanding young athletes that has competed in collegiate sports competitions including the University Athletic Association of the Philippines and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, as well as the Philippine National Games. [2]

PSC Children's Games for Peace Award

The PSC Children's Games for Peace Award were given to talented young athletes who are won medals in major age-group sports events including the Batang Pinoy and the Palarong Pambansa. [2]

The 2016 PSA Annual Awards was organized by the Philippine Sportswriters Association, the oldest media organization based in the Philippines formed by sportswriters from newspapers and sports news websites. PSA is currently helmed by Riera U. Mallari of the Manila Standard. The awards night was co-presented by MVP Sports Foundation, Milo, Philippine Racing Commission, San Miguel Corporation, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), Accel, GlobalPort, Rain or Shine, Maynilad, Smart Communications, ICTSI, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, SM Prime Holdings, One Esplanade, National University and Senator Francis Escudero. The awards were given to the Philippine athletes and organizations in recognition of their achievements and victories in 2015, particularly the Filipino gold medalists in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.

The awards night was organized by the Philippine Sportswriters Association, the country's oldest media organization founded in 1949. PSA, which is headed by its president, Eduardo "Dodo" Catacutan, Jr., is an organization of seasoned and young sports editors, columnists and writers from newspapers and online sports websites in the Philippines.

The 2021 San Miguel Corporation (SMC) - Philippine Sportswriters Association Annual Awards was an annual awarding ceremony honoring the top sports personalities who made tremendous contribution to Philippine sports in the year 2020 despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the postponement and cancellation of major sports events in the country within the first months of the community quarantine and the resumption of sporting tournaments under the bubble setup.

In late 2021, the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA), led by President Philip Juico, initiated a dispute with Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena involving the liquidation of finances related to the salary of Obiena's coach Vitaliy Petrov.

The 3rd Siklab Sports Youth Awards is an awarding ceremony that recognizes the young Philippine athletes aged 18 and below that stand out in different local, national and international competitions for the year 2023.
