The 2000 Potters Holidays World World Indoor Bowls Championship [1] was held at Potters Leisure Resort, Hopton on Sea, Great Yarmouth, England, from 10 to 23 January 2000, with the pairs following on from 26 to 29 January 2000.

In the singles Robert Weale won the title beating John Price in the final. [2] [3] [4]

In the pairs final David Gourlay & Alex Marshall defeated Gary Smith & Andy Thomson. [5] [6] [7]

The women's singles competition took place at the Watson Stadium in Belfast from April 13–16. The event was sponsored by Golden Charter and the title was won by Marlene Castle. [8] [9]

Ashley John Cooper AO was an Australian tennis player who played between 1953 and 1968. He was ranked as the world's No. 1 amateur player during the years of 1957 and 1958. Cooper won four singles and four doubles titles at Grand Slam tournaments. He won three of the four Grand Slam events in 1958. He turned professional in 1959. Cooper won the Slazenger Professional Championships tournament in 1959. He won the Grand Prix de Europe professional tour of Europe in 1960. Robert Arthur Weale, is a Welsh international lawn and indoor bowls player. Weale is originally from Presteigne and was educated at John Beddoes School, but now lives in Hereford. In 2022, he was inducted into the Welsh Sports Hall of fame.

The event was organised by the World Bowls Tour, televised by the BBC and streamed live on YouTube. The event was played behind closed doors and there was no under-25 competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a consequence of the pandemic there were no overseas players involved.

The 2022 Just World Indoor Bowls Championship took place at Potters Leisure Resort, Hopton-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, England, from 7–23 January 2022. The event is organised by the World Bowls Tour, and will be televised by the BBC and streamed live on YouTube.
