The 2001 Little League Softball World Series was held in Portland, Oregon from August 10 to August 15, 2001. Four teams from the United States and four from throughout the world competed for the Little League Softball World Champions.

2005 Little League World Series

The 2005 Little League World Series took place between August 19 and August 28 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The West Oahu Little League of ʻEwa Beach, Hawaii, defeated the defending champion Pabao Little League of Willemstad, Curaçao, in the championship game of the 59th Little League World Series. This was the second time that the Little League World Series championship game was won with a walk-off home run, which Michael Memea hit in the bottom of the 7th inning.

The 2008 Little League Philippine Series was held from April 5 to 13, 2008. The venue of the tournament was the Alabang Country Club in Muntinlupa. 72 teams joined in the various age divisions. 2016 Little League World Series

The 2016Little League World Series was held August 18–28 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Eight teams from the United States and eight from throughout the world competed in the 70th edition of the tournament. The Maine–Endwell Little League of Maine–Endwell, New York, defeated the East Seoul Little League of Seoul, South Korea, in the championship game by a 2–1 score. It was the first Little League World Series title for a team from the United States since 2011, and for the state of New York, the first since 1964.

Qualification for the 2016 Little League World Series took place in eight United States regions and eight international regions from June through August 2016.

The results of the 2016 Little League World Series was determined between August 18 and August 28, 2016 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. 16 teams were divided into two groups, one with eight teams from the United States and another with eight international teams, with both groups playing a modified double-elimination tournament. In each group, the last remaining undefeated team faced the last remaining team with one loss, with the winners of those games advancing to play for the Little League World Series championship.

The 2016 Senior League World Series took place from July 31–August 6 in Bangor, Maine, United States. Chicago, Illinois defeated Melbourne, Australia in the championship game. It was Australia's first world series final in any division of Little League.

The 2016 Big League World Series was a youth baseball tournament that took place from July 26-August 2 in Easley, South Carolina, United States. Taoyuan, Taiwan defeated Maui, Hawaii in the championship game. It was the first BLWS title for Taiwan since 1996, and extended their overall record to 18.

2017 Little League World Series

The 2017 Little League World Series was held from August 17 to 27. Eight teams from the United States and eight teams from around the world competed in the 71st edition of the tournament. Tokyo Kitasuna Little League of Tokyo, Japan, defeated Lufkin Little League of Lufkin, Texas, in the championship game by a 12–2 score. It was the 11th time that a team from Japan won the tournament. Tokyo Kitasuna became the first league to win the tournament four times.

Qualification for the 2017 Little League World Series took place in eight United States regions and eight international regions from June through August 2017.

Qualification for the 2018 Little League World Series took place in eight United States regions and eight international regions from June through August 2018.

Qualification for the 2019 Little League World Series took place in eight United States regions and eight international regions from June through August 2019.
