The 2001 Speedway Grand Prix of Germany was the first race of the 2001 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 5 May in the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Berlin, Germany [1]

Tony Rickardsson Swedish motorcycle speedway rider

Tony Rickardsson is a Swedish former professional motorcycle speedway rider. He competed in the Speedway World Championships from 1989 to 2006. Rickardsson is notable for winning six Speedway World Championship titles in 15 attempts. He most recently rode for Masarna from Avesta in the Swedish Elitserien league, Unia Tarnów in the Polish Ekstraliga and for the Ipswich Witches, Poole Pirates, King's Lynn Stars, Arena-Essex Hammers and Oxford Cheetahs in the British Elite League. In 2011, Rickardsson was named an FIM Legend for his motorcycling achievements.

Lausitzring Race track located near Klettwitz, Germany

The Lausitzring is a race track located near Klettwitz in the state of Brandenburg in northeast Germany, near the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic. It was originally named Lausitzring as it is located in the region the Germans call Lausitz (Lusatia), but was renamed EuroSpeedway Lausitz for better international communication from 2000 to 2010. The EuroSpeedway has been in use for motor racing since 2000. Among other series, DTM takes place there annually. It also used to host the Superbike World Championship.

Stadion Miejski im. Józefa Piłsudskiego, also known as Polonia Bydgoszcz Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Bydgoszcz, Poland. It is currently used mostly for speedway matches but also for association football and is the home stadium of Polonia Bydgoszcz. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people and was opened in 1924 by president Stanisław Wojciechowski.

The 2001 Speedway Grand Prix was the 56th edition of the official World Championship and the seventh season in the Speedway Grand Prix era and is used to determine the Speedway World Champion.

Nicki Pedersen is a Danish motorcycle speedway rider. He has won the World Championship in 2003, 2007 and 2008 and was a World Cup winner with Denmark in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. His brother, Ronni Pedersen, has also ridden in the Speedway Grand Prix and World Cup.

Stadion Olimpijski (Wrocław)

The Olympic Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Wrocław, Poland. It was built from 1926 to 1928 as Schlesierkampfbahn according to a design by Richard Konwiarz, when the city of Wrocław was still part of Germany. It is used mostly for American football—home of the Panthers Wrocław and speedway racing, it also serves as the home stadium of the motorcycle speedway team Sparta Wrocław.

Ryan Sullivan Australian speedway rider

Ryan Geoffrey Sullivan is a retired Australian international Motorcycle speedway rider who has won the Australian senior, Under-21, and Under-16 championships during his career. Sullivan achieved a career best third in the 2002 Speedway Grand Prix, winning two of the ten Grand Prix run during the year.

Aleš Dryml Jr. is a Czech speedway rider who has won 2004 and 2007 European Pairs Speedway Champion titles.

The Super Prix was an event introduced by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and Speedway Grand Prix organisers, Benfield Sports International, to the 2008 Speedway Grand Prix series offering an additional prize fund of US$200,000 to the Grand Prix riders. Four Super Prix events were held at four rounds of the Grand Prix season, with the winner of each of the four events qualifying for the Super Prix Final. The Super Prix final was won by Polish rider Tomasz Gollob.

The 1995 Speedway Grand Prix of Germany was the third race of the 1995 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 8 July in the Motorstadion in Abensberg, Germany and was won by Danish rider Tommy Knudsen.

The Vojens Speedway Center is a Motorcycle speedway track located in Vojens, Denmark. The track has been part-owned since its opening by Denmark's first three time Speedway World Champion Ole Olsen.

The 2001 Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 23rd edition of the Team World Championship. The final was held on ?, 2001, in Berlin, in Germany. Russia won the title.

The 2021 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 27th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and decided the 76th FIM Speedway World Championship. The series was dominated by Polish venues once again with six of the 11 races taking place in Poland. Great Britain and Germany did not hold an event, however Russia was added to the calendar for the first time. In 2020, six of the eight races had been held in Poland.
